I, for one, liked how he stepped i early and played ok. He was'nt supposed to start but held his own for the most part. While he didn't excel, nobody made a fool of him. I look forward to cheering him on soon!

Research, research, research. Sometimes it pays off..........

Here is your “PA-Fan” at work. Shows up around Mid-July when all the talk of Favre heats up as “favre” Erie, PA. Cracks jokes about Favre, tries to cover it up with one non negative comment in between each joke cracked against Brett. Changes his name over the past 2 months to names like V for VenBretta, Stewey V, and here we sit with Favre on the roster and he is all of a sudden a die hard Vikings fan. Ignore this troll like all the others that post on here.

He's had a year of learnng the Defensive Playbook and studying film, I expect him to be solid this year. Madieu Williams will be back and 100% healthy as well. I loved Sharper but he gambled a lot....

No question, why the Vikings got better after the seventh game last season. And that reason was that Tyrell Johnson was on the bench, he is a liabilty on the field.

Actually, it's not that Johnson is "that bad", it's that Madieu Williams is "that good". Last season, EJ missed alot, M. Williams missed alot, & J. Allen was still blending in. THIS season, with the defense that MN is fielding, and with all of the new weapons on offense, they could really rip the NFL a new as-shole...- Going to be $h!tloads of fun to watch, either way.

Tyrell would be the second or third best player on gb's defense. He is probably still a bottom third player on this impressive Vikings defense.

Lol - Good one 40. Ah c'mon, he's not THAT bad. At this point, he's probably average for the amount of game time he's had. I wasn't really expecting Sharper in his hey-day, or M. Williams. I don't think he'll ever be "great", or anything like that. But I think he'll be okay.

He played extensively as a rookie without his name being called too much, and that's a good thing. Now that he is getting comfortable being the #1, he can start making some plays. He may end up being better than Darren or Madeau, wouldn't that be a wonderful discovery?

Don't hate me for this - I've been a Vikings fan my entire life - and this in the face of living is Wisconsin (not by choice - family relocation mandatory) - he's not very good - forgive my negativity. Young safeties who become great as they progress (I watched Ronnie Lott's career from day 1) show more energy, hit harder, tackle better and just have a nose for the ball and are around it all the time. You see this early. Not wanting to insult a young player who has no doubt worked very hard, I just don't see that much with Johnson, and I want to be proven totally wrong so will be watching his career unfold.
