The best news I've heard all week-

Other injury news: The Vikings placed safety Madieu Williams (concussion)on injured reserve and elevated cornerback Marcus Sherels from the practice squad.

Thanks for the memories Brett, especially for the 2009 season. Go Joe Webb!

Nice job on the fumble-itis AP!

Griffin and Henderson are both amazing players that continue to impress in the face of adversity.

They are playing for the draft pick now, and their best chance at improving their pick is to play favre... So play him to the death, so you can finish higher in the draft order

Please pound Brett Favre into the turf. Can't wait to see Vikings in the cellar. Brett Favre was a big part of this doing. FAVREPOLOSA hopefully is coming to an end. The next book cover and sports illustrated cover should be Favre lying face down on turf. Caption should read. The guy that stayed beyond his time.

brett - take a knee and lets have another look at Joe Webb. Take Tavaris "knee banger" Jackson and try to get just anything for him. Nice guy, just not an nfl quarterback. He's supposed to be one of our best athletes - maybe he's a safety or cornerback?

Probably better for Webb to get the experience and to see if the Vikings need to get aggressive in the off season to find a new quarterback or stay with Webb and Jackson.

Agree ...except it's been well overdue to bid TJ ado, aa-dious, buu-bye. He had plenty of time to develop into a "third string" QB and was paid plenty for it.

We'd be better off picking up a veteran QB in FA and the best available QB on the board in the draft (not sure which round though, but not too late). Let them compete for starting QB in 2011 unless the veteran is an obvious. I know this approach sounds all too familiar, but it's no longer a "SB this year" plan. Webb, or potentially a quality rookie QB, will be the 2012 guy who will be ready to make things happen.

Sorry, no total turnaround in 2011; progess yes, but much more would be a fluke. We need to make most of the next two years of draft picks / acquire FA's in other key positions with that in mind.

Who the hell cares if Favre ever throws another nfl pass again,he hasnt helped the Vikings and should have retired after last season,Webb looks like the qb of the future so let him play,Favre can go back to riding his tractor in Miss. and try to explain to his wife what exactly drives a grown married man to send a picture of his little part to another woman and what he expected her to do with it. just go away Brett.

Brett Farce will wave to the crowd as the final seconds tick down vs. the Detroit Lions.
He'll quietly sing "Thanks for the Mammaries" to Jenn Stenger.

it is disgusting how the public, media, leaders and business CEO continue to praise and hold Favre as a role model. This sends the wrong messages to the young athletes that sexually harrasing women is tolerated and you can even buy yourself your way out of troble if yuo are a star. SHame on you Favre, Vikings organization, leaders and parents

Favresr, I'm not sure what articles you've been reading, but Favre didn't buy his way out of this. He refused to pay the extortion money to this BIMBO. I actually think he shouldn't even pay the fine, but should spend the money on suing Jen, her agent, and her attorney for extortion.

The only thing Favre is guilty of is asking for sex. At least he didn't just take it like Rapelesberger did.

There's no wiggle-room; if Favre can't pass the concussion test he won't play. I think we Vikings fans can look forward to getting another look at Mr. Webb. If he's injured we'll see Mr. Ramsey. In any case, the loser of this game picks ahead of the game winner in the April draft. Skol Vikings.

"Turn out the lights ... the partys over ... they say all good things must end .." ......... as Steve Mariucci said Brett .... "let it go" ... for the first time in 20 years I'm convinced the NFL will be BETTER without Favre .... It's an old and worn out story ..... Yeah, Favre's career ends tomorrow.

So does Green Bay's season.

Unfortunately, they don't make them like they used to so Grandpa Favre may have to stick it out until wussy Rogers can learn to take a hit!

I hope so. Is it sad that I would rather have Chicago win the SB than let the stinky cheese make the playoffs?

Please do not play Favre unless Webb goes down! What an insult it would be to Webb after having a great game last week to give Favre a cerimonial start that won't mean crap! Especially after the NFL fine! Why subject the rest of the team to the insults!

Sidney Rice owes the Vikings at least one more year!

I also think E J Henderson deserves some credit for coming back from his hurrendous injury last year and hasn't missed a beat this year!

Youth? Rodgers? He looks as old as Favre! Only a 3 year starter and hasn't done squat! This year will be no different! If the packers make the playoffs and that is totally up to Chicago, the packers won't get past the 1st round. Aaron "One & Done" Rodgers!! A packer staple for years to come~ lmao
