Jared Allen may think the fines are getting out of hand. A lot of us think the salaries paid to these prima donnas are getting out of hand, along with the ticket prices to go and watch them play mediocre football. Thank God there are great college games to watch with players who are more interested in playing hard and winning than in padding their hefty pocketbook.

Goodell is just doing what Obama says is the American Way now- he's just "spreading the wealth around." The NFL donates those fines to charity if I am not mistaken, so this is just a case of taking from the rich and giving to the poor, or "taking from each according to their ability to give and giving to each according to their need." Classic Marxism- our new American Way.

And thus the need for unions
In the perfect world, companies would treat their employees like they are their most valuable asset. To that end, when the corporations dictate unrealistic demands upon their employees, everyone suffers.
I don't think there is a reason for unions, but regardless this certainly isn't one.

If the refs could do their jobs correctly, people wouldn't be complaining. They have been horrible and are only getting worse. Every week they seem to be deciding the outcome of a game. Lou and Mike, you are stupid. If you had any talent you would be getting paid as well and AND complaining when someone takes money away from you when you are just doing your job. How about every time you do a job and someone says that you are wrong, they take away your paycheck? That would be a fair comparison to the REAL WORLD. Idiot. You must be a Childress lover... or Childress' lover. ha.
If the refs did their job right..we might be 2-5..they gave us the Lions and Saints games..yes the LIONS..we should be thanking them

Why should we feel sorry for a person making $100k +? Really, let's get some perspective. These are adults paid very well to play a kids game.

Play right, play fair and you won't get fined. Simple as that.

Why can't the NFL fine the official that makes what is clearly the wrong call? Don't they work for the NFL also? Where dose all the money collected from the fines go?
