I see it as a chess game in progress. As of tonight, I think it is unwise to rule out Favre coming to the Vikes. Arch, I almost always agree with you, but I don't buy the "stubborn Childress" argument. The guy is very confident and he has earned my confidence that he and the braintrust will make the wisest long-term decision.
Green Bay should not be able to hold out for a big package unless the Vikes and Bears get into a bidding war. Favre is in a position to force a trade to whoever he wants. I don't know if Favre has indicated an interest in the Bears, and I don't know how interested the Bears are in him. You'd think they would make a good offer if Favre wanted to go there.
Personally, I'm happy with Jackson. But the thought of Favre in Chicago is scary.
