Giants find Curtis not a simple catch

Full story: Newsday

Such is the pace of free agency for the Giants that even inviting a player in for a visit can't be easy.

If Mr. Reese does not dive into the free agency market, the Giants will end up with the scraps. We need to be aggressive in free agency. There are a lot of needs to be filled, especially with letting Lavar Arrington go. I think he was a perfect fit for us. Look how Michael came back from an injury, I think that he needed motivation and I saw that when he played. I think that was a major mistake, along with this one, it is going to set us back. Also, I don't think many free agents are feeling Tom Coughlin. No one wants to play for someone who is seemingly a monster as a coach.

Look @ the Jets vs the Giants right now. Everything the JEts do makes sense, helps the team and the front office knows what it's doing. Picking up Jones was a steal yesterday. Everything the Giants do makes no sense. Our owners and new GM have no clue how to compete in the league. I fear our franchise is in big trouble.

Remember all those yrs in which the Jets front office had no clue how to compete, well now it's our giants with no clue. Nothing this franchise does anymore makes sense. We'll bring back Coughlin for the make or break yr for Eli? Give me a break

Why does it seem like the Giants are scared to dive into this free agancy market, there acting like they are a small market team, we have to many positions to fill to just sit back and wait for second string players to become availible, we need impact players now to compete

Tina

I agree with everything you said accept about Arrington he is to injury prone I think they did the right thing by cutting him but we need to get off our butts and start making some moves I dont understand why Reese has not pulled the trigger on at least one impact player on either side of the ball

Everyone costs too much and I do like building through the draft. However, Reese is proving he doesn't have it as GM, at least not as of now. He almost screwed up the deal with O'Hara, will be fined for his McGahee comments, and now Gibril Wilson could be lost as the tender offer made was unacceptable. This franchise operates through LOYALTY, the kiss of death in business.

Rebuilding, there are too many holes on both sides of the ball to just sit and twittle thumbs

with every team having money with the expanded cap
is the fact that coughlin's coaching style has been criticised by high profile players causing players not to even come in for a meeting.

Don't overspend now for nobody. We need as many draft picks as possible. I wouldn't mind trading down for extra picks this yr and next yr. You build ateam through the draft.

The Giants need to step up to the plate a little. I do understand however the crazy amount of $$$ these other washouts are being paid as free agents and none are good enough for that kind of money. The Giants need a good running back and quite frankly I don't trust Brandon Jacobs for nuthin!! Hey Jerry, SIGN RHODES OR TRADE FOR MCGAHEE WHILE YOU STILL HAVE A CHANCE!!

we have a gm who is clueless...a coach who is certanily holding us back on and off the field because no free agent in their right mind would want to play for him...a te and wr who are good but whose big mouths will make more of an impact on the win loss record than their play, linebackers who are not top notch in making plays, michael strahan-will this guy play a full sixteen game season again? and eli manning who has promise but a coach like coughlin will ruin his career development. the next few years will be tough for big blue
