Great win for UCLA, and this is coming from an SC fan. I, like a majority of people on the West Coast are sick and tired of hearing about the allmighty SEC. Hopefully ASU can do the same to Georgia in a couple of weeks. The SEC lives in a bubble, and once they get out they have a hard time with the Pac-10. P.S. Can anyone give Fullmer a box of Krispy-Kremes for the long ride back to Tennessee, the fat boy is going to need it.

Rick Neuheisel brought the passion bucket and it was full. It is great to be a Bruin.

UCLA's defense was impressive....it's a long flight home for Tennessee.....and one long bus ride home for the kicker.....

Hey Jill,

Instead of focusing on the negatives (o-line 'not good','tennessee offense not good, etc.), could it be possible that the o-line didn't allow any sacks all game and that our #1 RB Bell was out of the game, so maybe that had something to do with our poor running game? And maybe UCLA's defensive front putting pressure on TN all game had something to do with TN's offense not looking so good?

We expect a bit more from a 'professional' writer than these amateurish observations. I was at the game, and it was anything but 'ugly' as you called it. It was a thrilling game that was reminiscent of 13-9. Maybe you're a Trojan at heart if you can't see that. GO BRUINS!!!

Chow, Walker & Neuheisel well done. But it's just one game, but what a start!

Yes, it's only the first game but now we can put the Dorrell era behind us. I love the passion RN brings to the game, the team and the fans. It is a rebuilding year, and maybe next year as well, but what a start to the NEU-ERA!

One of the ugliest games I have ever watched. It will be interesting to see how Tennessee does this season. Hopefully this will bring more respect to the Pac 10. Hats off to UCLA.

A real confidence builder, and a well coached game.
Not to mention the O line was totally rebuilt, the third stringer, Craft, adjusted well after a bad first half, and the relentless defense..
Good job, you could sense the 'new' excitement, after four years of dull football.

You missed last year then, there were uglier games last year, although I can't say Iv'e see an uglier 1st half in my life.

It reminded me of when you beat us. The defense sure looked good and it will be interesting to see how Craft does the rest of the season.

The opening of the article reads: "Kevin Craft struggled ... as he threw four first-half interceptions. Tennessee didn't capitalize on those mistakes"

Doesn't returning one of those interceptions for TD at the end of the half count as "capitalizing" on one of those mistakes? In a huge, potentially game-changing, demoralizing way? Sometimes I get the impression that you're watching a different game.

Enjoy this win, the Bruins earned it. But be ready to lose when the mighty Fresno State Bulldogs visit later this month.

rick neuheisel is a rare breed. he brings out something in a a player only a handful of coaches have ever been able to do. ucla walked on the field knowing they were winners and left the field winners. i am an avid mizzou fan but rick neuheisel is one of the best coaches to grace the ncaa.

I sat in the Rose Bowl & watched UCLA win in a gut wrenching overtime manufactured from the never say die spirit of Coach Neuheisel, genius of Coach Chow and a defense that came to play hard nosed football.

It reminded me of the many comebacks against USC, Cal and other highly rated teams who underestimated the gutty little Bruins on the field of play. Only this time, UCLA has two of the best defensive tackles in the nation named Price & Harwell who are ready to prove they're PAC-10 first team...God Bless the Bruin team.
