If it wasn't for Adam Vinatieri Tom Brady would be the modern day Jim Kelly: a 4 time Super Bowl loser!

But that's a very large "if" - isn't it? And, of course, one could counter that if it wasn't for Scott Norwood Jim Kelly would be a latter day Tom Brady. There's a lot more than meets the eye when it comes to winning and losing. Lombardi, Gibbs, Bill Walsh,(and lets throw in Julius Caeser and Sigmund Freud)- all men who believed there's no such thing as accidents in life.

Were it not Franco Harris, Bradshaw would have been...
Were it not for Jerry Rice, Montana would have been...
Were it for Emmitt, Aikman would have been...
Were it not for Elway, the Broncos would have been...Austin Prep.

What's your point skippy?

Were it not for Brady the Patriots would still be, well, the Patsies they were for about 35 of their first 40 years in the NFL.

A punchline.

Brady is actually getting better!
What he is doing this year is not being missed by those who actually know, the ex-players on the Sunday morning pundit shows, most of whom are Hall of Famers.
Almost to a man they marvel at what Brady is doing this year(especially the ex-quarterbacks) with this rag-tag bunch of old vets along with some real up and coming young new future stars.

Brady is the best QB in the game right now, he has seperated himself from the other superstar QB's, Brees and Manning.
As long as he and Belichick are together, they will always be a threat to win it all.
That cartoon character the Jets call a coach is just a distraction, but like Pro wrestling the NFL needs it's sideshows, it's good for profits.

Your overrated, over hyped, overly stupid team you call the Jets will be 1 and done. Your love for Brady is awesome though. You are so jealous you can't stand it. If you could trade that taco eating rubber armed Sanchez for Brady you's have a boner that might actually reach your underwear for once and you know it.

Great way to end the season!

In coach Sporano's last effort to save his job, New England denied all prayers emphatically.

*Brady, kept intact his streak of two-touchdown-no-interception games , becoming just the six player in NFL history to throw at least one TD pass in all 16 regular season games, and moving into a tie for 10th place on the league’s all-time touchdowpassing list (he now has 261).

* Gronkowski, broke the franchise record for most receiving touchdowns in a season by a tight end (10) and by a rookie receiver.

*Green Ellis, eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark on the ground, while Edelman set a franchise record for longest punt return with his 94-yard score at the end of the first half. As a team, the Pats extended their 30-point-or-more streak to eight games

Meanwhile, it was rest and recooperation as Belichick decided to deactivate key contributors on offense ; Welker and Branch, Hernandez, and Connoly!

The Patriot mindset: It's 0-0 now...the regular season is behind them....The trophy is near...theyre smelling the blood....

Go Patriots!

11 games of 31 points or more this season.

My biggest fear was injuries going into the playoffs. What is the Pats injury status? Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the Pats going into the playoffs in good physical shape?
