Does 'Edge' still fit for Cards?
“There probably will be 25 to 30 running backs drafted by the time this is over with.”
Since the end of last season, there has been speculation the Cardinals were eager to replace running back Edgerrin James with a younger, faster model. via Arizona Republic

I've watched running backs be under appreciated and alternatively over-rated coming out, every year for the last forty years. Edgerrin, with the line improved, will be back at 1,500 yard status. He's not lost speed, or if he has it is from a 4/3 to 4.5 which keeps in the elite. What the diamonds separate with is not speed anyway, it's what's in their head and heart plus quickness. Everyone saw the Minnisota rookie get his yards last year, so everybody forgets all the busts and that O-line ability must factor in. Edge has never run behind a first rate run block line, at either place, Arizona or Indy. Before 30 he's got 12,000 yrds. nuff said.
