Hey Joe and 1bearsfan must be related to Angelo after trying to defend him. The results don't excuse Angelo from taking a risk with a player with an injured back...There is a reason Williams fell so far after being the "only true" left guard in the draft. What did every GM but Angelo know...and if Williams were Angelo's only mistake I would give him some latitude but he has whiffed on every first round pick he has made....You guys are too far up Angelo's backside to see the reality of it....every since Angelo has taken over our offense has steadily decline to it's 28th ranking....no excuses Angelo is an idiot and so are you guys if you buy the drivel you're putting out. Fire Angelo on down and see what happens.

I do not blame Angelo for drafting Williams in the first round. I would have done the same. What I don't understand is how he has ignored all the other problems we have on offense. Matt Forte will not be a dynamic back, and I'm not sure that relying on a rookie to drive your offense is smart. I liked the move on getting Jones. It's the only aggressive preseason move I've seen on correcting one of the many problems. Lets just hope he survives the abuse he'll get from our lacking O-line. As far as our receiver corp... I wouldn't expect much (not that we have a quarterback that could throw to them). I think it's time for Angelo to go. He's built a good defense and special teams, this is true. But we can't expect them to put all of our points on the board and win games. At some point in time someone is going to have to be held responsible for the mis-management.

Jerry Angelo is still a joke, along with this article. This draft was was supposed to be loaded with off. tackles and it was, and we draft the only guy with past back problems?
