Ravens pick apart Dolphins in AFC playoff

Full story: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

Linebacker Joey Porter was resorting to trickery so the tears wouldn't flow. Quarterback Chad Pennington sat on his stool accepting condolences as if he had a dog named Marley who died, instead of a season.

Tony, the dolphins defense was right on - no beef with them. But the play of Chad? The O line? How about the lack of timing, poor penalties, and horrendous play calling?

Ginn blew this game more than anyone!! He had the handoff clean but saw that he was about to get leveled and coughed it up!! I'd let him go TONIGHT!! He plays soft!!

Congrats to the dolphins on a great season. They got beat by a better team today plain and simple. One of the reasons the dolphins were so good with turnovers this season is that they weren't facing defenses like the steelers, giants, eagles, ravens and titans - they got the likes of the cheifs, seahawks, and broncos. Baltimore was a much more battle tested team and it showed out there.

Great season with 11 wins and a home playoff game. It was really nice sweeping the Bills, and knocking the Jets & Pats out of the playoffs!

Dolphins fans...Congrats on a phenomenal season! As a South Florida Ravens fan, I am obviously happy with the outcome of the game. I was at today's game proudly wearing my Raven's jersey and nearly every Dolphins fan I encountered treated me quite well. You'd never see that in Philly or New York...that's for sure. So, while I'm sure you are sad about today's game, remember that you had a great season and honestly you are some of the best fans around. I'd have happily rooted for you against the Steelers in the next round had you won.

He had some good catches on that one drive. I don't blame Ginn. He played well today. As a team, particularly on offense, the Dolphin just didn't get it done today. Still a tremendous season. There's a solid foundation to build on for this offseason and next season. 23 of 53 players are either rookies or 2nd year players right now. As long as this team (emphasis on team) gets into off season workouts and work as a team to prepare for next season, they should improve on what they accomplished these last few months.

Congratulations!!! I've proudly worn my Dolphins jersey to Denver Broncos and St. Louis Rams games in the past, and for the the fans in those towns were classy. I knew this would be a huge test for the Dolphins. The Ravens' defense is scary good and they're playing phenomenally right now. Tennessee better bring their A-game next week if they want to win.

Good luck. I'm going to closely watch the Fiesta Bowl and National Championship game to watch some potential future Dolphins.

23 of the 53 Dolphins players are rookies or 2nd year players. They have a full slate of draft picks and some god salary cap space to play with. I think the Dolphins will improve on this year's showing.

Thanks - the Ravens played a great game as well! Good luck in the next round. And it looks like you guys have found your quarterback in Flacco!

The next step will be much more difficult. They woin't have the benefit of a last place schedule like they had this year. This season was more a product of the schedule than anything. they proved it today, not by losing, but by failing to compete untill it was a lost cause. then Ginn took care of that too. Dump the stiff.

One and done is better than none and done like the Jets! I bet you can't remember what a PLAYOFF game feels like, if you have even been to one.
