With all talent being equal late in the first round, the No. 1 position for the Miami Dolphins should be cornerback.

Joe, You belong in Hollywood with that photo!! I do not have a clue who to draft but I would welcome JT back in a miami-dade second.

Hard to argue that this isn't a huge "need" for the team. My concern is that the talent pool is so poort at CB in this years draft, that is this going to be fulfillment of a "want" to take one and/or two so early. Even the top two CB's, who may or may not be available to us at 25, are not without issues. Yes, we need cover corners - just not sure we can get them through this year's draft.

everyone is saying there is not a single true first round corner in this draft. But in later rounds you find better bang for your buck. With that in mind I really think BP will draft the best player available with the 25 pick.

Hey Joe whada ya know? Joe, first up like to see 6.6 J.T.signed on the cheap for pass rushing need.#25 Sean Smith 6.2 huge corner back with long arms and 34 inch vertical leap.#44 Ron Brace nose tackle, could beef up to close to 6.3 350 with Fins strength coach. Nice additions for a bigger, more athletic defense. THE DYNASTY BE FINS!

I completely disagree that the Fins will choose a receiver in the first 2 rounds. While it is obvious that we don't yet have a superstar at the wideout position, I think Bill and the gang will seek to get bigger in the trenches before they take a WR or CB.

If we were picking earlier in the draft, I think we might be having a different discussion if Michael Crabtree were available, but that won't happen. No way we are picking a receiver, I think the corp we have now have a lot of potential still.

Well I guess everyone has an opinion, but for me I can't go along with you on this one. Do you have some inside info that the rest of us don't?? I don't think there are two corners in the draft worth taking with two out of three of our first and second round choices. If vonte Davis were to fall to the second he is defenitly worth a shot, but he probably won't.The rap on him is he has coachability issues, that got J.T. traded. As for Malcolm Jenkins if he fell to 25 im not sure that he is better than the safety corner tweener we have been trying to get on the field for the last three seasons...whats his name???? from tennesee??? oh yeah we can't remeber because he hasn't made a play yet..... looks like to me the dolphins are brining in every small school prospect they can beat out of the brush pile to avoid the boom or bust prospects availbel early in the draft. if te fins front office can find some talent to work with later in the draft your pants will be down around your knees with this article....I think the Risk vs reward factor is key to the current regime.

If Miami goes for CB with the first pick it will surprise me. Mostly because does anyone think the Dolphins are set on the DL/OLs at this time. Is this the unit that will take us to the next level of where all of us want to be ? If the Trifecta thinks it is, then they will draft CBs and WRs. but I don't see them doing that. Not when they think building the Lines first is the way to go.

Can Smilley come back ? How long can Fergeson hold up ? What if Long or Carey get injured ? Sorry I don't see the Dolphins going early for DB/WR. Inside Linebacker maybe.

Well he did say we should be picking a corner in the 1st round, but who???? Who will still be there? What kind of numbers did they put up in college? Can they keep up with the likes of Moss, & T.O. or tall enough and able to out jump them when the ball comes their way? We demand answers Joe, youve got a tough crowd here. Just wait till Jet Fan gets a hold of you...GO PHINS!!!

Vontae Davis will be outright HUMBLED and LEVELED by the Tuna. Guys, look at what the Tuna did with T.O. and MeShawn Johnson. Joe Rose is right in that we need a CB that can step in immediately.

The Dolphins will go LB or NT with the first pick. Call it a hunch. They'll choose a couple/three CBs in the later rounds, where the gems are usually found.

is a bit of a crapshoot. Tom Brady=5th round, Zach Thomas=5th Round.

They should trade this years first for another team's first and 2nd in 2010. Then trade our 2nd this year for ANOTHER team's first in 2010.

Then next year, we should trade the 3 first round picks in 2010 (team 1, team 2, and our 1st rounder) and draft an obvious pick, or trade down again. With the combination of 3 to 4 1st rounders, it is possible to build an enormous arsenal of 2nd round picks... and just keep feeding the system that way.

2nd rounders seem just as likely to turn out to be good, but the price for them is so much lower, so you can keep more of them on your squad for much longer.

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Virgo

It's okay to have high expectations, but try to keep in mind that no one can be all things to all people. As the Moon spends one last day in its current sign, it urges you to find a way to recognize others for their strengths, and forgive them their weaknesses. Virgoans' idiosyncrasies must look like strange quirks from the outside as well! Fate ties up the loose ends towards the end of the day.
