Say it, brother. I'd drool over a Jonathan Stewart/Owen Schmitt 1st rd./3rd rd. tandem, and hope that there are enough OL and DL diamonds-in-the-rough in other rounds. Paul Hubbard can be had in the 5th or 6th at WR, leaving only the secondary as an unaddressed concern.

As much as I would like either a tall WR like Malcolm Kelly or Limas Sweed, or an OL like Branden Albert or Jeff Otah. I believe their best option is to trade the 23rd pick for some later picks in 2nd and 3rd rounds. We only have 6 this year and there are a lot of great players who are gonna go in the 2nd and 3rd rds. So trade it!!!!

Agreed. Hate to admit it. But I do. This draft is thick with a lot of the talent to fill the holes in Pitt's roster. CB, OT, OG, DT, DE...We can draft a good poss. receiver in the 2nd round, and fill the gaps with the rest of them, or any combination that results in making our roster more complete and balanced. Starks for that kinda money tho? Wow.

Great to be back with you, Bill. I'll be a little sporadic as long as Penguins season lasts (hopefully into June), but I'll jump in when I can. I've been enjoying your posts on the draft from afar for a couple of weeks.

They may just do that, the FO was hinting at the strategy.

Sounds good Rex we miss ya. Its getting time to gather in all of our troops. The Clowns think they have a team. LOL! Admittedly, they have improved, but have they improved enough to take the North?

So what do all the Steelers fans see as necessary areas to address on the team through the draft this year?

Browns don't have a first day pick, so I need some story lines.

Nothing to think about Bill, the Clowns always find a way to mess up in the end. They probably will finish behind the ravens this year. Same as it ever was. Same old clowns. 9 in a row and counting!!!

You sound like a pretty alright guy although you may be a little delusional. If you have been reading alot as I believe you have you would have a good idea of where the Steelers need to improve. Speaking for myself I don't know who the 1st selection might be. Recent events and comments made by the front office have put a cloud inside my crystal ball.

According to my draft pics...we WILL have Stewart at 23. Can't wait to rock that backfield. Now, lets pick some good OT, OG, and C in the draft. and a nice damn receiver.

I think we all want Stewart as #1. I read somewhere Kreider is possible coming back as FB(?). I hope they use #2 and #3 to get some promising talent on the line, both sides of the ball.
