There was also a blatant helmet to helmet hit on Chatman
Right on the money .... that should definitely been called.
The Timmons 'step' was 100% accidental. Timmons was trying to change directions and coupled with the terrible footing, he was trying to gather his feet. The endzone view clearly reveals this. It's not even debatable.
The helmet to helmet was definite. Not on purpose of course, but it doesn't have to be to be a penalty.

Knew bringing ricky back was a bad idea. Just didn't think this would be why. The guy is just bad news. so for a few hundred thou, ricky carried the ball 6 times, fumbled once. Now we have to pay him for the rest of the season.
So i don't understand your logic. You'd rather have a guy with a bad ankle and a reserve play instead.
The problem isn't Ricky, you losers have bad luck, and bad coaches. You put a guy out in the mud & rain who's only practiced once in 2 yrs. And you expect him to be superman? Get a Life!
The guy was hit in the chest and stomped on the same play, he tried to play with a torn muscle and your b.i.t.ching? What a moron!
I would've waited and let him practice another week and played him in the Jets Game.

Timmons meant no harm

Linebacker Lawrence Timmons received some heat on Miami sports talk radio after he stepped on Dolphins linebacker Ricky Williams during a play when the two teams met, some thinking that the move was intentional. Williams was placed on injured reserve with a torn pectoral muscle.

But Timmons was simply trying to make a play, as Williams fumbled the ball on the carry.

“When you are running fast all I saw was the ball,” said Timmons.“I was going at that the whole time. I would never do anybody like that. I am not a dirty player, I have way more respect for the game than that. I definitely wouldn’t do anything to a player like that with the way he just came back and having gone through all of the stuff he went through. No way, I would never do that.”

According to the Miami Herald the Dolphins reviewed the film and don’t plan to contact the NFL about it as they believe it was an accident as Timmons was going for the ball.

“Everything changes.”

I too thought it looked intentional...but I could believe that. I'll take him at his word.
