There’s a good article by Dan Shaugnessy in today’s Boston Globe about your tawdry president Bill Polian. Shaugnessy writes about how the Patriots are still pissed off over Polian's behavior in the Gillette Stadium press box last year when the Colts beat the Patriots 40-21. Polian was pounding his fists and screaming during the entire game and in the final minutes several people heard Polian yell, "Break his leg" when he watched a Colts lineman chase down a scrambling Doug Flutie.

How classy.

It’s just another sorry chapter in the life of Bill Polian. He was fired from the Bills in 1993 after Buffalo appeared in 3 consecutive Super Bowls because he couldn’t get along with the Bills’ treasurer. He hangs up on Mike and the Mad Dog because he didn’t care for their criticism of Peyton. He has the rules changed because his team can’t win on the field against the hated Patriots and he assaults a Meadowlands employee for placing loudspeakers to close to the Colts bench.

I can’t wait to see what he has up his sleeve this Sunday in Foxboro. Probably a knife.

What an uninformed comment 3XSBChamps.

The rules were NOT changed after the 2003 AFCCG, the NFL just started enforcing them.

The claim that Polian assaulted a Jets employee turned out to be completely false, but why would I expect a NE fan to deal with facts?

Big deal if Polian said "break a leg." He was into the game and it is crystal clear that the Colts are NOT a dirty football team.

As for Polian's track record, he has won NFL Executive of the Year FIVE times, and has turned the Colts' franchise around.

In Polian I Trust.

Good luck Colts. I hope Manning "BREAKS A LEG" quote from BPolian speaking about D.Flutie last year.

as a NE fan, with respect to this game, my greatest dread and my greatest hope require the identicle scenario to materialize> Pats by 2 with 3 seconds remaining:

OUCH!- Vinatieri nails a 44yd fg.

YEAH!- He shanks the same kick.

Anyway, really looking forward to the game. One we can all appreciate.

The Patriots will win this game for one reason. If they lose the Colts will be 3 games up for home playoff.
The Pats need the game more than the
Colts.
The truth is, the team who makes the least mistakes will win.

let's get real Pats fan - Polian didn't get the rule chnaged himself - the NFL agreed that the Patriots were not playing within the rules and the refs were not enforcing it and you got away with it. The entire NFL committe agreed that the Patriots did that.....so shut up

Enjoyed your article. If you love pro football you have to love this game. The Colts have already done us the big favor of beating the Broncos -- God know we can't do it.

Manning/Brady, Brady/Manning. Either way they are the two best in the game today. Manning has always had the better offensive weapons. What we forget in New England is that Brady has always (except maybe last year) the better defense to support him -- hey it was Willie McGinnes who stopped James at the 1 and not Tom Brady.

I don't know who will win Sunday but I bet the winner Sunday will go to the Superbowl. Manning inside in January vs Manning in Foxboro in January goes a long way toward deciding the AFC Championship. I sure hope its the latter.

Enjoy the game -- see y'all on the other side.

"to [sic] much time on your hands?!"

Thanks for the irony!

(An embarassment to New England.)

I am excited about Sunday night. I can't read enough stories or listen to enough talk radio. Whatever happens it should be a great game. I just hope it doesn't come down to a field goal.

I think last year's game is being mentioned too much by Indy. I know beating New England in New England was a big deal to you guys, but that defense Manning shredded was a joke. This is a completely different defense that you will see on Sunday, and a completely different team in general. That aside, I want to know how the Colts plan on stopping the Patriots' offense? The Patriots will be able to do whatever they want against a pathetically soft defense. I anticipate New England coming out throwing to get ahead, and then punching the Colts in the teeth with Maroney and Dillon to play keep away with Manning. Indy does not have an answer to stopping the Pats offense.

Nice prediction you knobsucker! Nope, Colts sure couldn't stop New England's offense. Tom Brady is a much better qb then Manning because he has three rings. Blah Blah Blah. Knobsuckers!

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Pisces

You have a one track mind today, dear Pisces, and it's running along very ambitious lines, absolutely determined to achieve something you've been attempting for ages. Can you be so committed that you're prepared to let everything else go by the wayside for the time being? That's great, but don't become obsessive about it.
