The Cam Cameron / Randy Mueller apologists keep saying that Welker was a good trade for a 2nd rounder and a 5th rounder. But, you can not trade your playmakers away. Welker was the best player in the Dolphins offense last year 2006.

By the middle of the 4th quarter last night against Philadelphia, Welker had caught 13 passes for nearly 150 yards bailing out the Patriots of all their critical 3rd downs and more. Not sure what he ended up with but that is a pretty good production for a "3rd" receiver as the Dolphin front office called him: "we got 2 draft choices for a 3rd receiver and that is a trade we have to make anytime it comes up" ....... please,....

Not only you should not trade your playmakers but not especially to the division rival and most efficient team in the league. Handed them the a receiver that was great playing with Joey Harrington and a crippled Culpepper. Diminutive Welker is a giant ingredient for the Patriots season. He gets them out of trouble.

As far as trading playmakers for high draft picks, ask the Cleveland Browns who sent Paul Warfield to Miami for a #1 who I think turned out to be Mike Phipps.... who the hell remembers Mike Phipps? but we know that without Warfield the Dolphins of the 1970's would not have done so well or gone undefeated.

It has been a ridiculous first year that this Dolphin coach Cam Cameron has had with his trades and picks and play calling and concussed quarterback friends that had to be brought over at all costs. Scorch the South Florida earth to get Trent Green here, said Cameron. Rookies will not play said Cameron.

FOR CAMERON TO SURVIVE THIS FIRST YEAR'S MISTAKES WILL TAKE A MIRACLE ... he used up all the slack. How does he explain all the decisions he makes and has made to owner Wayne Huizenga? How does Wayne feel every time he sees Welker running all over the field giving the Pats another big play while his team is the worst in the league and has the lamest group of receivers???

I don't know what you're talking about, Porter has been silent for the last six weeks, or more.

Note to Ted Ginn..
We know that you are not Devin Hester because Hester has that fearless personality in which he heads straight for the hole much quicker than anyone and then runs faster than anyone but look at those films and see how he does it, without hesitating too much.

Coach Cameron used up a very valuable at #9 thinking that you are going to be another Hester but you will not. But even if you are half of that, well, that might be good enough. By the way, Hester was drafted in the 20's I think and that is where kick returners should be drafted which means Cameron was wrong in drafting there and putting you in a difficult situation which will be in the minds of the fans forever.

If you were a physical presence like Braylon Edwards or Calvin Johnson, then OK. Then it is OK to draft a receiver that hight but I doubt very much that you can be a possession type of guy that will be able to take a lot of hits going across the middle.

Yeah Joey. The Steelers dump those average linebackers and the Phins pick them up at fat salary cap killing prices. Keep shooting off your big mouth. You are a BUST. The Steelers are play-off bound and you are going to make history-- 0-16.

I have know idea what the Dolphins saw in Porter. Last year in Pittsburgh he was no good, so what made them think he could do anything here? Very Stupid. As far as the rest of the team. Zach Thomas has been overrated the last few years and has shown that he can't make thru a full season, So we should have seen this coming. Taylor looked unstoppable last year and now has hit a wall. They should have kept a few of the D-Lineman from last year.

The O-line seems to be the most positive thing about this team. Which is huge since they have been without an O-line for 15 years.

Wes Welker has the ability to run 5 to 10 yards, cut and get open faster than anyone. He also catches the ball. He was under valued by decision makers Mueller/Cameron. They will never get back his value. Mueller/Cameron then over valued Joey Porter. This G.M. and Coach can not be blamed for all the Dolphins problems but they made huge mistakes trading Welker and paying Porter so much money.

Mueller/Cameron will be given more time. However the Welker, Porter transactions were so bad that Dolphin fans can not feel secure that their personnel decision making can turn the franchise around.

with or without Porter the dolphins lose. With Welker the Patriots win, without him they lose at least 2 games.
AJ Feeley played a brilliant game except for two plays. Why he tried to score with that much time on the clock, instead of calling runs & screens to eat up the clock is why he's not a Dolphin. Bad decisions. However, fans can see the difference what a good offensive line and recievers that get open & don't drop passes can do for a quarterback.
It proves the point, the dolphins still need o-line help and good recievers. A monster d-line guy and a couple of cornerbacks. Philly's corners shut down the pats WR but there's no one that can cover Welker.
Anyone who thinks Satele is = to welker and that satele can make the same impact on a game is plain nuts!
Satele can be replaced. You can't replace Welker. There's no Welkers in the draft, sorry!

Ha Ha - Feeley is still better than any QB the Dolphins have...as far as Porter goes - exactly what is his 'last word'. I think his last words tonight will be " 0-11"....

Many mugs of beer overflowing in tears up there.

I would like you all to remember that the Eagles barely beat the Phins last week. They started with their #1 QB.

The Phins made the Eagles look bad. Remember the score? Does anyone remember the first Phins-Pats game score?

The Eagles made the Pats look bad - and they looked pretty good while doing it.

The Phins look bad while making others look bad.

The distance isn't all that great.

Maybe tonight we will look better and make the Steelers look bad.

That is progress.

Onward to the perfect storm, in which 14-0 meets 0-14.

The Eagles have shown that the Pats are vulnerable ...

I've never been impressed with loud-mouth blitzing LB's who usually get blocked by RB's - like Porter and Lawrence Talyor. Give me a guy who makes a bone crushing tackle, gets up and hustles back to the huddle and keeps his mouth shut - like Mike Singletary or Zach Thomas.

Bottom line Porter. Start producing, make plays, and that will shut them up. Until you start playing like you are being paid nothing will stop the media from jabbing at you. Do what you get paid to do and everything else will fall in place.

SILENT Joey, what a strange concept. I think it's because he could ALWAYS back up his mouth with his outstanding playing on the Steeler's team. Us fans voted him on the 75th All-Time team for Pete's sake. Now he's playing for a mediocre team with no bragging rights. Make no doubt about it we miss Porter, his trash talking, and GREAT play. Yunz need to do something to motivate the man.

The Pats still won last night even though they played like crap. Shows you how strong they truly are. Only a major injury will stop them from going undefeated. Bellichek said this morning no days off for the Pats they are back on the practice field TODAY! They wont look like that again, I bet you that. The Patriots will go 19-0 and end all that silly 1972 talk. Ricky will wish he is still smoking pot after tonight...Steelers 28 Dolphins 10

You steeler fans are all the same. you're never going to be '72 material and pittsburg fans still stink like your city.
If it was'nt for a fluke season with that quarterback "what's his name?" you would'nt have been no where so shut up and move or shut up and stay where you are.
In 2004 we won more games than you did in '72, pindick, and we don't care that you're too stupid to spell or pronounce our QB's name. Pittsburgh, by the way, was recently voted "America's Most Liveable City." Where was Miami on that list? Oh, yeah: the reporter sent down there had to rent a car, so he was spotted and gunned down by gangs on the way out of the airport.
