I love Ed Reed, but am I the only person who wonders what in the world he was thinking Sunday when a long punt rolled down to inside the Ravens twenty. The ball was surrounded by 5 Cardinals and had come to almost a complete stop when Reed suddenly, and for no good reason, dove into the middle of the 5 Cards and fell on the ball. The only possible effect on the play of his action would have been the possibility of a fumble. There was absolutely no possible gain by his action. None of the TV announcers mentioned it. Did I imagine it?

NO, you're not. I saw it and was flabbergasted. LOL, none of the announcers said anything. He also tried to scoop up a punt earlier that everyone "thought" he was going to just let roll. I understand what he is trying to do but it's more suited for backyard football amongst kids having fun and not the pro level.

Watched NFL Replay on this game last night...A.J. Jefferson (#20 Cards DB) is worthless...no wonder why Boldin ended up with 145 yards/12 targets...some rolled out with a free win....

Yes, the Cardinals should have played double coverage on him.
