What We Have: Carson Palmer is the undisputed #1 in Oakland. He should only be better than what we saw last year in a fairly uncomfortable man under center.

Still got a lot of holes to fill. Shiancoe, Lofton and/or Lawson and Gray would all be good additions. I don't know about Vince Young as a backup...

I think Reggie is done filling holes.....except OLB.....Wimbley left a big hole to fill and we don;t have the $$ to fill it. LOL

I hope Reggie's eye for talent is as good as they say it is.

i don't like this "i don't think we have the money" thing! not cause we've been saying it, but because it makes me nervous about our season. but believe me, i'm like a reggie mckenzie and more like an al davis, in trying to find talent cheap but better yet, trying to find that diamond in the the bullsh.t! look, i know we don't have al davis's money, but mark davis does. there is a certain limit we have to come down to in free agency, but all that gets balanced out through out the season. so, in other words, i would get the player that i want and adjust certain contracts and lose certain players and replace them with an equal strengh players or better. what mckenzie is doing is, he's cutting all the good expensive players and getting hopefuls. if money is a situation? you can understand it but mark davis has money. he has his dad's money! okay, so they want to clean house right? they want to start over and clear cap space and re-do contracts, nothing wrong with that, but, spend for one good player! one that is going to be worth it. and if they don't want to do that and go with unknown players? than swallow it and continue to build and we should see a championship in five years! there's really nothing wrong with that. we'll just be watching football just to watch it, not because we are hopeful.

I like what he is doing. We are going to compete in most game this year so in shedding money and talented players that will not be around when our offensive players hit thier prime is the smart thing to do. In two years our cap will be at the level where we can sign a big name in the off season without letting go of two or three players. Our draft will be back in line. We now have time to draft and mold a QB(still can't believe we passed on Mallet and then drafted pryor). Things will line up raiders just need to chill and remain loyal and if you're still a raiderfan after the past ten years who else would you cheer for anyway. Raiders for life

3huffman, you're a good RAIDER fan. believing no matter what happens and staying loyal? couldn't ask for more. i love my RAIDERS but waiting two or three years or five or whatever it takes is too long for me. we've already gone through 8yrs now of straight out no playoffs and i would have wanted for us to just upgrade this year with certain players. just so that we could have continued to possibly get into the playoffs and wishfully thinking? the superbowl. i felt we were one or two steps away from doing that.
now we are in a rebuilding mode. which is fine if you are patient and want to win in two or three yrs or five if thats the case. is it worth it? yes. anything is worth waiting for a superbowl. but what if the mckenzie's way faulters? we're shhh.t out of luck for "at least" another three after that. i would have prefered it to be year by year in hopes for the following year rather than "to know you have to wait" two or three or five! but as fans, we really have no choice! look how long the lions have waited? and still waiting! well, we're not the lions. and we have been there and done that. but for me, it's about "today" a.s.a.p. i'm planning today, i want to win this year. i just keep spiffing and adding parts to the engine if i almost won the race last time. i can't take that engine completely apart and hope to win the race in two or three years. hell, by that time, everone has already upgraded their motors twice as much as yours! i guess thats why i'm like a little kid pouting right now with my arms crossed and helpless. but, i'll be okay once we start winning
"in two or three or five"
hopefully, we pull the 9er thing and win our first year with our first year coach? that would take a miracle! but who knows? mckenzie has a good reputation.

I'm not opposed to us playing for draft picks this year, but I REALLY WANT US TO HAVE A WINNING SEASON IN 2012 BECAUSE 9 YEARS WITHOUT A WINNING RECORD IS TOO LONG!!!!!!!

okay T_RAIDER, nine years is too long. i was strying to exagerate with five!(lol). but you could be right? a head coach can be fired with in three years, a GM can be fired within a decade! how long was matt millen with the lions a gm?

It's not you, it's just the frustration within the Raiders organizition. I mean we had the chance to build a great dynasty and we blew it. We blew it with bad decisions on draft picks, free agency signings, and trades. We really blew it with bad coaching choices. Tom Cable was finally given the chance that no one between him and Gruden was given and when he did what they all failed to do, he was shown the door. It comes down to Al Davis (Bless the man's soul) overpaid under achieving players and now it has cost us, so we'll probably have to wait a little longer

well, like i said, i like the old regime with the nasty RAIDERS, and the al davis's and "just win baby" "commitment to excellence" type of RAIDERS.(mistakes and all)! let's see what the "new green RAIDERS" bring to the table. but i'm in. after all, i don't have a choice. i'm marked with a RAIDER tattoo for life thinking al davis was going to live for ever!
regardless, i'm still a hardcore RAIDER fanatico FOR LIFE!
