Offensive line is Dolphins' consistent bright spot

Full story: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

The Dolphins' locker room wasn't completely sullen Sunday after loss No. 9. One guard, Rex Hadnot, returned to his dressing stall from the showers and boomed his greeting, "Hey, Chief!" at a reporter.

Thanks Charles for giving us a positive. At least the foundation of this team, the OL is solid. Gives hope for the future. Thanks

This team look like garbage all the way around. They couln't even beat the lowly Bills.

Hey Bills fans; when Wilson dies and the family sells the team will they become the Toronto Bills or will they be called the Toronto Aronauts?

How about keeping them in Buffalo? www.NoGlobalNFL.com

Anyone on this pathetic so called "team," preforming well or not, who asks for a significant raise should be "sh*t-canned".

How long before every team stacks the line and dares us to throw the damn ball. Ginn is getting open deep and the ball is thrown short. If Lemon can't se it and make that happen its time to move on. Cleo is running the rookie QB offense now. Thats the one with the short passes and the run, run, run mentality. BAR-KEEP...A BECKS PLEASE!!!

Yes, let's give all the credit in the world to this offensive line. They have pulled together this year, and are one of the few bright spots on the season. We can start rebuilding the team based on these guys. (We can use depth, however, especially since Toledo seems injury-jinxed.)

Please do something with Cleo. He can't make a quick (rational) decision to save his life (or a safety - come on, he got sacked by the guy in front of him, how much of a surprise was that). If his main receiver is not open he'll tuck and run or take a sack.

Is it just me or does anyone else notice this lack of ability? He's seems physically quite capable, he can throw very well, at least less than 30 yards. It's simply his game 'upstairs' that needs work, but how do you teach that? Is Beck any better? We don't know, nor apparently will we find out this year. I admire a coach who won't put a quarterback in before he's ready, but is there any hope?

This is why New England is winning as easily as it is. It starts with the line. If you watch a New England game and see how long Brady has to pass, it's unreal. You could say that familiarity is what makes them better. I believe this. They play together long enough, they begin to know what each other is going to do.
With that having been said, they'll most likely trade Hadnot for a draft pick ( we need draft picks.....ask Cameron ) Plus if it is a good player, it's best to trade for an unknown draft pick.>see Cameron.
oh and by the way, this line has progressed far enough along to protect ahem cough cough that guy that is 26 years old and lacks confidence. his name is on the tip of my tongue......lorenzo booker...no no wait..........beck that's it . you know the peace corps guy.
If they start screwing with this offensive line, they may as well trade beck now.

Oline is playing the run well, but pass defense has alot to be desired, not that it would help with Cleo in there

Less than 2 sacks a game, better than average in the NFL.

There's always room for improvement, but "has alot to be desired" may not be accurate. Could be the guy they're protecting eh?

I've been a Dolfan for as long as I can remember. I think the very first color TV show I remember was SB VII - we had just gotten the color TV that prior Christmas. I simply cannot remember a more despondent time in my time as a Dolfan, and that's not based on record. We had some horrible teams in the late '80's, even with the greatest QB of all time, and our drafts the following season were equally as terrible. At least I can say at this point that I am happy with the new draftees and their performance, as well as the changes I see in the team via FA, other than the Porter move. Porter seems to be too much talk, too little production, and way too much salary. Other than that, I can see why Green is better than Culpepper every time I see him coaching the QB's on the sidelines. Our running game is more solid than I can remember in recent past, yet without all the drama associated with the pothead. However - amazingly - our defense suddenly sucks. We were truly "defensless" against NE. The "trade Taylor" talk makes sense to me, insofar as we could gain great value for him, yet he can't play forever being the only one out there play after play. Maybe we can get a good player AND draft a good player for him, all the while saving a ton of money in salary. I just want to see something to make me hope for the future. Something to make all this misery worth while. Last Sunday, for the first time I can remember in recent times, I simply assumed we'd lose when up 10-2. I KNEW we would. That's bad. I am so glad to see Ginn has scored twice on return plays, although both have been called back by penalties. I'm just glad to see the penalties weren't the reason he scored. Rather they just seem indicative of the year we are having. Our secondary was OK in game one, but right now we are so far from OK it isn't even funny. I just hope we can survive to 0-16. It's truly a dark era for the Dolphins and Dolfans alike.
