Titan waiting on word for hit

Full story: TwinCities.com

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who two weeks ago promised to crack down on player safety, showed how serious he was by fining and suspending New York Jets safety Eric Smith on Monday for a helmet-to-helmet hit ...

Are all the fans that witnessed THE CALL prejudiced? Or did they see enough in their mind to have a call overturned? Is new equipment, video, needed to be able to view the plays that the fans are able to see on their TV's? I hope, we, the Viking fans are able to see OUR TEAM get a break on a penalty flag or a call sometime. It seems any call that could go the Vikings' way, always turns out to be inconclusive. It isn't just the Viking's. There were two no calls that the Eagles should have gotten the benefit of, like giving a touch down to the other team when the WR did not come down with both feet in bounds. And I'm not an Eagle fan either. Oh well. Who's perfect? Not me for sure, and certainly not the officials

Mike Pariah is a complete jack@$$ and straight faced phucking liar. The views shown on TV were obvious he didn't make the first down and fumbled before the damn whistle blew. What did anyone expect him to say?? A multi billion dollar business relying on old as dirt refs whose vision, reflexes, and decision making abilities are deteriating by the minute! How many times do we have to watch some **** get steamrolled by a LB or RB because the idiots can't get out of the way. Damn gatorade bottles filled with joint juice and depends wearing, Magoo Williamson vision.
i freaking saw that he did not get the first down in full speed without instant replay the vikings are cursed by bad luck

Oh I don't know, I'd say any time someone takes a full force helmet hit to the goodie bag, it's a serious injury. I'm sure Mrs. Gus thought so. Just because he may not miss a game shouldn't impact the judgment for a penalty, fine, or suspension.

Its all about where the betting line is. The game needed that touchdown to go "over". Anyone who thinks the national fixball league isn't rigged is living in fantasyland.

The refs hate MN and childress must be about 1/20 on his challenges.

They are so against MN that I think they laugh when they have their little huddle on the sidelines. "childress don't believe us again, he is calling us stupid" "yeah haha lets go pretend we are reviewing the play and have a beer under the hood" "yeah we already know the play will stand as called on the field, even though the folks at home know we skrewed them again" HA HA HA

The refs have too much power to determine the outcome. How many times have you seen the moral drop after a bad call? Almost every week.

Fine them or suspend them

what mike said was the same thing as saying my ref's don't know how to make the right call thats what i got out of it ,an i notice he didn't go to where they end up spoting the ball which wasn't even close to where the titan's player got tackled...answer that one mike they spotted the ball two yards up from where he was tackled..lol .....he was ducking haveing to say he's ref blew the call thats what i got out of it ..he's had to admit it all ready this year of ed's call so thats the last thing he needs to do is tell the truth that pete got that spotting of the ball all wrong anybody could see that ,the two guys doing the game got the call right an they were in a booth way up.....sooooo that all i got to say is those ref;s better start doing a better job or what hell u have instant replay for then..scrap it then

I remember the bottle getting thrown in the game against the Cowgirls. I even remember the officials name, Armen Terzian. What I don't remember is what happened (in the legal system) to the guy that threw the bottle. Was he apprehended, charged, or convicted? I agree that nobody in Minny would have "given him up", and I am normally a pretty honest, law-abiding citizen. Freakin' Terzian had it coming. The Vikings have been regularly getting hosed by officials ever since.

If anyone thinks the NFL DOESN'T play favorites, my advice is to wake up and smell the coffee. Certain teams (Cowgirls, NE) ALWAYS get the calls, as do certain players (Favre, Manning). I won't go so far as to say that NFL games are outright fixed, although some officials could be dirty (I prefer to think they are just incompetent and biased).

If you want a sport where the outcome isn't "fixed" by the officials, or determined by their "bias" without intentionally being "fixed", take up golf. At the other end of spectrum is the joke that is pro wrestling. Baseball comes closer to golf in integrity, football comes closer to wrestling. Pro hockey and pro basketball fall in the middle. I have just seen too many instances over the decades to think otherwise.

LMAO...nicely played Old Viking 45.

Now to the issues at hand:
1. If anything that ball should have been re-spotted and measured but then again it was but like a yard and half forward from the original spot...omg..that was painfully funny. That is you need to know about that play and it's intent.

oh yeah there was the part about Burnsy (simpsons) calling a timeout to see if he wanted to possibly blow another timeout on the challenge...that was a Burnsy Classic...just when you thought he couldn't top some of the boneheaded stuff he has done in the past he does...Jordy Verill you lunkhead!

2. What is the reason on the shot to the nads from Bosch...only replay was from behind Gus? Lets review....hmmm Gus is standing basically still, Bosch comes in with head up and then lowers the helmet to the groin area...Gus goes down like a sack of patatas and writhes in pain...pretty clear cut to me...unless he jumped his nut suck up in the air to meet the helmet? I sure didn't see that. That had bad intent all over it and lets be real, he was trying to knock Gus out.

It was a horrible call plain and simple. They couldn't overturn the call, but then the ref spots the ball at the 1/2 yard for the next play. You could certainly tell that wasn't a correct spot. The guy never even got close to the goal, heck you couldn't even see the goal line in some of the views, because, well, he was 2 or 3 yards from it.
Fortunately though, earlier the refs were able to interpret absolute control of the ball in an outstretched hand as the Titan running back went to the ground. Indisputable? He didn't have the ball tucked in. Who can say when he lost control. It was before it hit the ground, that is for sure. They were able to overrule that call though. No gray area there...

Yeah 4TheRecord he was trying to fight for the mark over and over 3 times in a row...so the play was still in play even when he was going down that is why the whistle came when it came (after the fumble) but Periera says his forward momentum was stopped so the play was dead...since when does a replay overturn a whistle...omg.. that explanation was laughable...yeah there was nobody in the grassy knoll either...I get it!
