I have a suggestion for every Viking fan that will be attending the Monday night game.

Wear a paper bag over your head just like the "Aints" did in New Orleans when they were the worst team in the NFL, year after year.

Every Viking fan with a bag over their head with a sign that says "FIRE CHILDRESS NOW!"

The New York Giants won't be playing that night, so Zigi should be watching...

That's a great idea, even for a Lion fan.

It would be so nice if some enterprising Viking fan would have paper bags and signs to hand out at the gate.
One sign that says "FIRE CHILDRESS NOW!" with a paper trash bag attached and one that says "THE SAINTS LOVE BRAD CHILDRESS!"

I am still SO PISSED OFF about Klinks last play called (Punt, we give up) and I'm curious as hell why that isn't being run up the flagpole by every single media that supports the Vikings.
Not only was it one of THE worst calls I have ever seen, Klink compounds the pain (And proves he's an absolute Moron) by trying explain after the game that our defense was playing well, he thought they'd get the ball back for us. With no time outs left and 2 minutes left on the clock.

Every single coach from Pop Warner up to the NFL knows that with no time outs and 2 minutes left, all the opposing team has to do is take a knee on each down and the game is over.

Why is this man still in charge of the Minnesota Vikings? What the hell is Wilf waiting for?

If Childress isn't fired, there can be only one explanation;
That Wilf really does want us to lose so he can move the team to LA.

Anyone that buys Viking gear or tickets to the game are only hurting them selves by continuing to line the pockets of an obvious hustler.

DON'T BUY TICKETS OR VIKING GEAR UNTIL WILF DOES THE RIGHT THING AND RUNS THIS MORON OUT OF TOWN!!

Vikings offense is 14th,and 19th passing.
Vikings defense is 6th.
They have played 4 very good teams and the toughest part of their schedule, including this N.O.game.
After this game we have 11 games and I expect as I did all along that this is when we'll make our push.
I remain optimistic.

Vanden Bosch must have a very high opinion of himself when it comes to the art of self defense, when he is so sure of himself, that he can scrape a quarterback off of his shoes, especially when he probably out weighs the person be 60# or so.
He should try his luck in the UFC, then see if he can scrape someone his own size off of his shoes.

Man you sure change your mind a lot! Lol

I guess it isn't outside of the realm of possibilities that this team could win a few more games, maybe even make the playoffs.

I've just gotten to where I can't stand the sound of that moron of a coach's monotone mumble jumble.
After that punt at the end of the game last Sunday, that should have told the world what we have as a coach; an idiot.

Holy Hogsbreath Fran, the cold weather freeze up your brain? LOL
I can understand the frustration as I have turned a new leaf as well, but I think Ziggy will give Childress till the season is gone, then he will pull the plug. The way Chilly is leading this team, we might not have to wait too long. When the team turns on him, then I'll be right there with Winfield, Sharper, the Williams twins, Fire Childress, and 90% of the others commenting on our 'plum' of a coach.
This really was a tough stretch with a team that hasn't had enough time playing together. With McKinnie back, Gus will have at least .001 of a second more to find an open receiver, if one actually exists.
What's with Rice? I thought that maybe he and TJ had a little conflict going, but I see Gus is ignoring him as well. Is he really that slow? It's got to be tough learning that your rookie season will be your best, especially to us fans who thought we had something special.
Childress has been clever as all get out when it comes to punting while down two scores and only a couple of minutes to go. The next big ingenious plan to come out of his trick or treat bag will be punting on first down. At least Chilly understands that our defense has a better chance at scoring than our offense ;)

Funny guy.
No my brain is working fine. When you have a coach that is so very obviously unfit to coach in the NFL, you need to get rid of him.
I understand it being the middle of the season and he's still under contract, so it probably won't happen. I also realize this was the hardest part of our schedule and we'll probably win some games. It still doesn't take away the fact that Childress is a bad coach and needs to go.

Rice? Good question. I know he got dinged a couple games ago and maybe that what's slowing him down.

At any rate, this is first time in 46 years that I am dreading watching a Viking game Monday night.

The problem with Rice is Childress tries very hard to prove his over priced acquisitions were valid. Why else would he call so many passes to Shank-ho who can't catch, can't hold onto a ball and can't run after he amazingly does catch one. Why else are so many long routes called on a well covered Berrian.

Rice, Mills, Sauce and even Wade are cheap and don't need any justifications for their paychecks. Therefore, Col Klink ignores them and tries again and again to try and prove Shank-ho is worth more than any of them.

Childress's ego is as large as his forehead and he can't admit he went for the wrong player and threw too much money at him.

That's a good point about Shankho. And one more example of what a buffoon we have as a coach.

I hear you Fran, but I am eagerly awaiting the Monday night game for many of the reasons you have pointed out. IF Chilly is as numbskulled as we all believe, maybe the national press will point it out to Ziggy, and he can take their word instead of ours. I really think Ziggy doesn't want to be viewed as a wishy washy owner, changing his mind over his decisions every other month (Al Davis comes to mind). He will give Klink every opportunity to show some leadership qualities and get more than an 'appearance' by this team on game day. Anyway, if the players view Chilly on the same level as us, they will start undermining him as well and Chilly will be closer to his new career, spokesperson for the hair club for men.

Stubby, now I respect your comments as much as anyone’s, but aren't you assuming all these pass plays have Shank-O as the primary receiver? Every pass play, the QB has options, and as they say, they work through their progressions. If primary is covered, go to secondary, tertiary, and so on.
Shank-O is probably open for a reason; the other team doesn't even have to worry about him. If Childress is trying to 'force' his handpicked players into making plays, then he shouldn't have even graduated from pop warner.
Although with Childress, if we expect nothing, we will seldom be surprised with something.

I'm convinced Shank-O is allergic to the ball. I saw him catch one in warm up, run a few steps, and the ball magically 'jumped' out of his hands like it was red hot. He has some good physical skills, but his hands were manufactured by Troy 'Scissorhands' Williamson and he bought them at a deep discount at Walmart.

While he is not the primary on every play on many passes to him I saw Gus look at him first and make the throw. If the TE is catching slants and outs then he is the primary as those are quick routes. When a play busts up and a TE dribbles down the middle to find an opening in coverage then he is a check down receiver. When have you ever seen Shank-ho dribble down the field and find an opening.

When TJ cam in late, he had a pass play where he rolled left and ended up taking a sack. On that play Shank-ho was running a left crossing pattern and TJ was locked on to him. The idiot Shank-ho never looked back for the ball unitl he got to coverage. TJ smartly did not throw to Shank-ho but dumbly he didn't look for another receiver. Anyone who recorded the game reqind a couple minutes and look at the play and watch Shank-ho. He hung his QB out to dry. Wide open and didn't look for the ball.

I've beeen saying these things about Childress and his ego for two years. His flaws as a coach are obvious to anyone but Wilf. This is his handpicked team and if he can't make it work he is clearly the problem. Let's hope NO piles up the points so he gets fired the next morning.

I did record the game, but all I have to do is find some time to watch it again. The plethora of passes directed toward Berrian/Shank-O does lend one to wonder if that is the strategy of this offense.
If Childress is content on metering out touches based on one's salary figure, then that would be another area where he is totally inept.
I would say that Chilly's head coaches rating is hovering in the single digits.
