All you Ponder doubter need to read and understand what this reporter is saying...Muskrat needs to either design better pass-plays or hit the road. This article high-lights exactly what Viking fans have all been saying....and why.

I think the vikings defense deserves some of the credit for them leading in most games. If you look at QB Matthew Stafford to Christian Ponder - Stafford had 20 TDs but 4,967 total yards. Ponder had 18 TDs but only 2,935 yards. Stafford has over a 1000 yards more then Ponder but only two more TDs so for sure I would say Musgrave needs to get Ponder more snaps per-game to help his total yard outcome. as great of a job I think Musgrave has done with Peterson I dont think they can keep relying on Peterson as their first, second and third option to move the ball down the field.

Not a Ponder hater but with his inconsistency and injuries he has to prove himself.

I would like to say I never said I didn't think Ponder had the arm to make the vikings a winning team. I only pointed out his total yards per-game output & that needs to improve this year if they want teams not to stack 8 in the box to stop Peterson. none of the teams fear a QB that has had 9 games under 200 yards.

The article says what us fans have been saying. My question is: Is Ponder allowed to change calls at the LOS? I think not. Frankly, until they trust Ponder (or any other QB) enough to call and/or change the call, depending on what he sees, the passing game will not improve. That is Musk-rats fault.

Don't blame me. I thought he was a terrible hire in the first place. Bevell seems to be doing fine in Seattle, lol.

Point 1..........until Musgrave came along a bubble screen to Harvin was non-existent.
Point 2.Musgrave was the OC in Clev. I know die hard Brown fans'living here in Erie that didn't know their OC was Muskrat......lol......how does that happen? Hmmmmmmmmmm. Better off with the Musk than the Childress regime..........

This OC understands how to get the ball to playmakers'.........

Hopefully Jennings will be that go 2 guy on first down ie.5 yds..soften up that 8 in box BS that AP been lookin' at.
Wow.then Rudolph, AP, AND Ponder have soooooooo MANY OPTIONS.....THATS' where Muskrat will shine in his play calling..........Ponder is capable of running a Read option.......just has to have a guy like Jennings to move the chains at critical times.......Give this Young man a chance to develop a trust relationship with a WR..........Jennings better step up..........Ponder will extend plays if he has that dude downfield to take pressure off him..........I'm excited for this season..........still worried about the MLB SITUATION..........Plus K-FAN.....Patterson to the head baby.........at least 2 KO RETURNS' for 6.........yea.........

Also,,, first time AP had a lead blocker...A.K.A Mr.Felton........AP isn't/wasn't hip to the idea of being in a I form.....Guess what....O.C. designed that scheme and 2 his credit AP excelled..........Musgrave has taken a OFFENSE to the post season with little.......WCO under Favre was magnificent 2 watch..........Favre had Rice.....Ponder nada.........Again Jennings has to be that Rice so to speak for Ponder..........everything else will fall into place.........You gna run a WCO.....M usgrave the man..........I hope...lol.

My understanding was Musk-rat was the QB coach, has never been OC. Regardless, he has designed a good run-offense, as you stated. The jury is still out on his pass-offense. He has to earn my trust...so far, it don't look good but that may have been due to the WRs. I will give him this year....show me.

Musgrave has been an o.c. two other times, both failures. Just not Cleveland. I wanna say Carolina and Jacksonville. Might not have been jax, tho.
