Pretty cheap of Navy to even mention that Eckel's finished last in his class. Wish I was smart enough to say that. Navy should say what the problem was or shut up. Just like our government backstabbing whenever possible. I wish the young man good luck in the superbowl.

Talk about a double standard. Boston Globe article (http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriot... ) said he was "expelled" from the Navy. In my experience, anyone who wasn't considered officer material following graduation from a scholarship commissioning source (Annapolis or NROTC) has been required to pay back via enlisted service. Given the shortage of manpower in the global war on terror, could have certainly used another man on the front lines. Looks like celebrity remains the trump card.

Daily Horoscope for December 6

Pisces

Keep well clear of anything or anyone that looks like being a problem, but at least you can hold your own. This is a marvellous day for taking care of someone who isn't very well at the moment or who needs all the sympathy and understanding you can give them.
