Sucks for Kia. He showed a lot of energy and passion during the practices I went to. But I think no matter what, Hasiak was going to be the starter at one of the guard positions. Kia was there to provide depth.,

At the worst, we have him for next season.

Go Bruins!!!!

I saw several practices and noticed that Kia was sharing time with the 1st unit at left guard. He was playing for a starting spot. This is a shame but he'll be back.

He'll be back at the middle of the season, but UCLA will be okay, trust me.

My dad graduated from USC and my mom got her graduate degrees from UCLA. I admit I was a USC football brat. Nothing against UCLA but I've always followed USC. It just seems to me that UCLA has always had injury problems and recruiting classes that didn't stock players to fill in.

Someone tell me... is it the conditioning that's faulty? I have my own misgivings about their coaching. Or do they recruit players on "promise" not performance?

It is all about depth. USC has a lot of injuries this year as well but the depth helps mask them. UCLA on the other hand lacks depth making these type of injuries sting a lot more.
