Whats Phillips going to say ? That, "I don't know what I'm doing, so thats why I extended their contracts as soon as we got lucky, when we made it to the Super Bowl".
The three of them, were like 'Curly, Mo And Larry', in extending each others contracts, for long term security. It was as if they all won the lottery at the same time.

Relax people. What would you say if you were Phillips? "I think they suck and I'm going to fire them today." We don't really know if Phillips supports them or not. We'll know if they are still around for the draft. We won't know right up to the day he fires someone.

I swear, between the Chicago and Philadelphia fans, I don't know who is more fickle. Name one coach besides Ditka that has had the success of this regime? Don't worry I'll wait..........
I don't mean to sound like I'm attacking you guys, but I was a fan of the Bears before i even knew how many points a TD was. I understand the grief of seeing the glory days slip away (I've been a Bulls fan for almost as long as I've been a Bears fan), but if you can not come up with a solution to this "problem" of coaching (even though there hasn't been a better coach in decades for this organization) then focus on what you have. I admit the team needs a couple of things, but offensively, they played pretty damn well last year (it was the defense that allowed the NFC South all those comeback wins). The "experts" predicted that the LIONS WOULD DO BETTER!!!!! Most of you complaining probably agreed before the season started. Then they go out and almost make the payoffs, but that isn't good enough for you doubters. If some you were running the show the Bears would be worse than you think they are right now. You would hire a new coach every year you don't go to the superbowl, if a player gets injured you would cut him, you'd try to sign every overpaid free agent, you would have drafted some of the same busts that Angelo picked (at the time Benson held NCAA rushing records), and them cut them the next year if they didn't win R-O-Y.

Stop jumping off the deep end sooooooo much. I know I'm ranting, but Christ I can't stand the whining with no forethought. You want to fire Lovie just for the sake of firing him, who THE HELL would have replace him? Weiss?? Gruden?? Now that I think about it, with all the "busts", injuries, and (according to some of the sports blogs, i.e. Rosenbloom)bonehead players that the Bears have, it's a shock that they win any games at all with such "horrible" coaching.

STOP THE CRYING!!! START THINKING!!!!

I sincerely apologize for the rant, but you guys have absolutely no idea what it feels like to have to scour the internet for information on your team because you live outside of the metro area, and see nothing but whining, complaining, armchair QB/GM/Ownership. I will step off of my soapbox and take my meds now.

I like the conspiracy theory. But, the fact is Angelo and Lovie need to go. I think the Bears need to get a QB in the draft, like Pat white, Mark Sanchez, or Josh Freeman. These are guys that can make every throw and move around the pocket. They could get Kurt Warner but he needs multiple receivers to succeed. I think everyone except Lovie thinks Orton is a great a back up, but Lovie also stood behind Rex for two years. Receiver wise, they need to go get Marvin Harrison and then draft someone like Patrick Turner in the second round. Marvin is a hall of fame player and some one who can teach your young guys how to be great... He did it for Reggie Wayne. There's a lot of guys on defense coming out of the draft, so I would like to see them draft a guy like Captain Munnerlyn or Malcolm Jenkins in the first round and convert them to safety's. Then I believe you could still get a Pat White in the second round and a good WR with the next pick. You could also get Brian Johnson from Utah deep in the draft or even as an un drafted free agent(which is crazy)and go after a DB early. Also, if Clay Matthews is still around at 18 I would grab him. Another thing, I think Derrick Ward would be a great get, and would complement Forte very nicely. The main thing the Bears need to do is put Devin Hester back on KR. I wouldn't mind even seeing him in the back field. They need to get him the ball faster. His strength is his running ability, not his hands as a number one WR. But, I'm sure Lovie and Angelo wont do any of this and to answer your last question... Yes they will ruin this next season and hopefully then be let go. However, because of their contracts they could be around for a few more years. I really hope not.

Thanks for the input, Bernie.

You have some interesting thoughts.

Now all we need is some other Bloggers s to post some of their thoughts to get a real conversation going, not just a rag session!

It was getting like a bunch of monkeys going in a circle going nowhere. Venting is fine but in my opinion conversation is better. But each to their own.

Sorry Bloggers s but that is the truth. A group conversation along with venting is much better than everyone venting and no one really saying or discussing anything.

Jumping all over each other accomplishes nothing except venting of anger and making enemies instead of friends.

Believe me I know what I am talking about, I made a few, possibly more than a few enemies here by my attitude in the very recent past, which I regret.

I totally agree... Being negative never help anybody. All of us Bears fans need to come together and discuss the options that the team faces each year... That way the owners can see real solutions created by the people that matter the most to the organization, the fans. Just because we're not in the league doesn't mean we don't know a lot about the game.

The bear defense should be better than Arizona was last year,it`s pretty simple, get Warner and Joey Gallaway, then they might actually complete a pass longer than 20 yards!

Great post! I totally agree. I have written several statements like yours. Some of these people are Fans of other teams posting or hater types who only want to argue. Too bad we cant block them all off. I actually like the Bears chances this year. We were 3 very close losses, from being 12-4 last year. We will be better this year as a whole, our Defense is going to come Alive this year!! The Monsters of the Midway are Back!!

With all of these other teams making moves in free agency, it makes you wonder if the Bears even care about winning... Oh, and those three loses came on horrible play calling last year. Lovie, Turner, and Angelo must go!

Lovie Turner-Angelo sounds like the name of a Serial or Mass Murderer.

They sure murdered the BEARS!!!

Seriously, you would hear a about someone Named that committing a string of 26 Homicides, then going around and bragging about it.

Too bad we could not have them locked up, arraigned, convicted, and sentenced, 25 to life each count. 1 count = 1 year of murdering the franchise. Each of them for 4 counts each of murdering the Bears Franchise. Sentences to be served consecutively, with no chance of parole. If it could only happen!!!!

Maybe we could get lucky, they would get fired from the Bears and nobody would hire them in Football again in ANY capacity!!!
