Kramer had a good year in 95 and no one expected much from him. Stranger things have happened.<quoted text>
Here is my problem with Chris Simms. He was the number one QB out of high school when he signed with Texas and proceeded to under whelm the entire time he was there. Then he gets drafted in the NFL and his most memorable on field event was getting his spleen knocked out. There comes a time when you just have to face facts and that is that Simms is a second stringer at best. Therein lies the problem for Bears fans. With the brief exception of Jim McMahon when he was healthy enough to play this franchise has had nothing but second and third string quarterbacks since Sid Luckman. That is almost 100 years of futility at the position. The only rival the Bears have in their ineptness at fielding this position is the Chicago Cubs at winning a World Series!
Then again, Simms wouldn't have anyone to throw to other than Forte. Our tight ends are okay too, but those wide receivers are simply awful.
