Here is my problem with Chris Simms. He was the number one QB out of high school when he signed with Texas and proceeded to under whelm the entire time he was there. Then he gets drafted in the NFL and his most memorable on field event was getting his spleen knocked out. There comes a time when you just have to face facts and that is that Simms is a second stringer at best. Therein lies the problem for Bears fans. With the brief exception of Jim McMahon when he was healthy enough to play this franchise has had nothing but second and third string quarterbacks since Sid Luckman. That is almost 100 years of futility at the position. The only rival the Bears have in their ineptness at fielding this position is the Chicago Cubs at winning a World Series!
Kramer had a good year in 95 and no one expected much from him. Stranger things have happened.

Then again, Simms wouldn't have anyone to throw to other than Forte. Our tight ends are okay too, but those wide receivers are simply awful.

Uh huh, "beyond" the Super Bowl is the offseason. He's already taken us there (usually bypassing the playoffs).

Come on now,You Know Rex is the Man!! He could be our Saviour, and you know it. Fans are afraid of him going to Minnesota or green bay! Our Superbowl lies with Rex leading us there, not Orton! Jersey Boy told me so,I know my Mind!!

I'm pretty sure that *he's* afraid of going to Minnesota, considering what happened to him on that turf. That was an ugly injury, and they just had to keep showing it in slow motion over and over again...

Warner may be too old, but look at the dismal record for quarterbacks the Bears drafted.

Bobby Douglas, Gary Huff, Bob Avelini, Vince Evans, Jim McMahon, Mike Tomczak, Jim Harbuagh, Cade McNown, Rex Grossman, etc. Zero stars, one pretty good one (McMahon), several mediocrities, and plenty that were not even mediocre.
