Kurt Warner's in, let the bidding begin

Don't rule out Kurt Warner just yet. The veteran quarterback is ready to play next season rather than retire, and his agent, Mark Bartelstein, quietly extended an open invitation to interested parties if a deal ... Full Story

Why would Warner want to join a team that plays in cold weather with no wideouts, an eroding offensive line and pathetic offensive coordinator?

Why do you think Boldin is considering signing for Arizona?

Because Warner would stay if he stays.

Stop with these rumors. Warner will not leave Arizona. Name me a better 1-2 punch at WR than Fitzgerald and Boldin. Why would he leave that? Arizona will pay Warner. period

Ha after the way Angleo treated Warner last time not to mention the Bears recievers. Dream on. Not to mention they probably still would tell him he can't start, cause Orton is are guy.

Duh Bears haven't been remotely viable since about 1987. Give it a rest. So long as the little Mac owns 'em - they're going nowhere. Maybe we could dome the remains of Soldier's Field and house some our homeless there.
Duh Bears - give it a rest, they're a waste of space.

If it's not dead then please somebody kill it.

Warner has been a terrific QB in this league, and still is. But Chicago would be his trip to NYC all over again.

Warner is a warm weather/dome QB.

The Bears need a QB, but if you need a vet, find a way to get McNabb, not Warner.

As I wrote several years ago to USA Today, if he doesn't have the right system it will not thrive and prosper. Great quarterback on anything and everything quick. If there is no YAC forget it--the Bears have a yack/yuk factor but not much YAC!

Shoot this rumor in the head -- twice. Please!

Unless Soldier Field is having a dome added this off-season and Angelo fleeces the league in the draft (HA!) for a bunch of tall, strong, fast and physical receivers, the closest Warner will ever get to Chicago is if he has to switch planes at O'Hare.

The last place that Warner is going to spend his final season is in Chicago where its the desert of NFL offenses. He will re-sign with Arizona.

This off season during the pre-draft, free agency, etc. will amount to what the Bears do annually: NOTHING!
They are incapable of pulling off anything that would HELP their franchise. I would rather the Tribune say nothing than print make-believe BS.

If we don't have a QB, draft one. No team....no team.....lets a good one go.

And if the Cardinals let him go, he's no good anymore.

Ask the Jets.

Please explain to me why you would choose McNabb over Warner?

To me McNabb is a terrible choice, even if the Eagles do let him go. Which I do not think they will.

The choice of Warner over McNabb is a no brainer. McNabb's numbers do not even come close to Warner's.

How is delaying the building of a new offense by a year going to help us, especially when everyone can see that we arent exactly "good" offensively now?

I honestly would like to see warner here, but really why would he want to come here to play? we have holes in the line, need another running back...and need 3-4 wide receivers....doesnt sound real inviting to me, if i was an aging vet in the twilight of my career , after i just had lead an overachieving team to the super bowl

I'm with Phil. YAWN. Enough with this stupid rumor. Chicago is absolutely the worst fit for Kurt Warner. If he doesn't re-sign with Arizona, then he'll go to a warm weather team or a dome team. He can't play in cold weather, never could. And he'll never be happy handing the ball off 30 times a game, either. Let it go already.

Yeah right! After the Bears sign Kurt Warner they will then sign T.J. Housmandzadeh, trade for Anquan Boldin and for good measure fire Lovie Smith, Jerry Angelo and turn the entire operation over to Bill Cowher.

Get Real! I will be absolutely shocked if the Bears do any better than the broken down highly overrated Chris Simms.

Let the cardinals keep him and see if he repeats what he did last year the ods are he will not. If the Bears want to get Better they have to get younger and faster. They could sign Warnner but that wouldn't make the Bears better it sure will not make them faster. Oh hell sign Warner and bring Jonny Morris out of retirement also.
