Raiders preach tempo, communication to right ship

The Raiders began their final practice Wednesday before a four-day break with the coaching staff preaching tempo and communication in the hopes of righting a season that based on a 1-3 start could be headed for double-digit losses.

USC Quarterbacks don't do well in the nfl raiders are known for having a bust when it comes to the QB position like fat ass Jamarcus Russell and the list goes on and on a better slogan for the raiders would be just lose baby just lose

They did draft Kenny Stabler, but that's not enough. Look at the guy they drafted 1 round ahead of him...Eldridge Dickey...Mike Rae, David Humm, Jeb Blount, Marc Wilson, Rusty Hilger, Billy Joe Holbert, Todd Marinovich, Marques Tuiososoppo, Andrew Walter, and of course Jamarcus Russell...I don't know of any other team that went through that many QBs that didn't work out. What's funny is that in the late 80s, they drafted Steve Beurline, who went on to be successful elsewhere.

Jamarcus Russell is the most inexcuseable because when you have #1 overall pick, you have it for a reason and you don't have specific position needs. In that position, your whole team is in trouble and you need the best available player on the board and he wasn't it. They chose him over guys like Joe Thomas, Calvin Johnson, Patrick Willis, Darrelle revis, Adrian Peterson, and what's bad is that they have all been to the Pro Bowl. Those guys were football players that could instantly make any team better and those are the kind of players you need to go after when you have the chance to especially when you are drafting that high. Darren McFadden had that type of hype but injury slowed him down. Darrius Heyward-Bey did not have that type of hype so it was foolish to draft him ahead of guys like BJ Raji, Clay Mathews, Alex Mack, Brian Cushing, Brian Arakopo, and what I see in that draft is Two great players that were taken by Reggie McKenzie and the packers, so I have hope that he will draft wiser than we have in the past.
