Ghosts of Chiefs' past are resurfacing. The old Schottenheimer-Gannon-Grbac scenario is now dressed as Edwards-Huard-Green. Please, Coach Edwards, remember that Marty S picked Grbac and went nowhere in the playoffs, and that Gannon steered the Raiders to a Super Bowl. Or, if you like casinos, you go with your hot hand.

The difference between this situation and the Gannon-Grbac thing is that Trent still has a lot of the regular season left to shake off the rust and build momentum going into the playoffs. He still offers a better vertical threat than Huard, and has more experience in high pressure games. Unless you're ready to commit to a plan to cut Green to save the cap room for resigning Larry Johnson next year, Green still offers the best chance to advance in the playoffs this year.
