Thanks for some great years Pat, but I think it's time to give it up.

Thanks for your services Pat but, it's time to step down after this season. Just look at the situation your QB is in and ask yourself if it would be worth it? The Vikings need to start a total rebuild next year from the coach on down and I doubt very much that the new coach will need a 39 year old over the hill nose tackle in a 3-4 defense.

Watch him- he's already on the sidelines for more than half the time because he can't keep up with the game. You had a good career- time to hang them up.

hey, guess what other needs are to important right now if he continues to play great, but we desperatly need to rebuild the offensive line and secondary. They have lost the Vikings a couple games every season........I say bring in Mike Tice if this is their plan, I mean heck most of the defense is just his left overs, getting paid unsightly high amounts now but, also think punt/kick returner Reynaud got the job done till we traded him for a pointless 7th round pick from the Giants, as for Harvin too injury prone and should be mixed in but not the sole returner. WR corps no depth here at all the Vikings have been handicapped at this position for years until stone hands Rice exploded last year and Harvin came in. As for Berrian one fluke year aint worth 42 million. The Vikings need to ditch the West Coast Offense it isnt worth it to have a offense more focused on passing at heart being tortured to put in run plays for AP the system isn't god and the Vikings aren't a pass-first team (2009 anomaly) and havent been for a while. By the way you bring in a rookie QB and the revievers have three options on every down and he needs to know it just off his gut if they are going to take a fly/slant/post I mean for a team so weak at WR and constant QB changes this offenses just doesn't fit. We need SMART WR (Moss, Jerry Rice, and a HB who can catch 1000yards recieving in a season think Roger Craig 85)
This team just isnt fit for so many changes so quick if Pat stays good one position we can postpone temporarly and focus on some of the true needs and as for the WCO one thing STABILITY at WR and QB and a more pass orientated HB, this does not spell Vikings

I have a feeling that a lot of the old vererans will be gone next year. They just aren't producing. It will be interesting in the next 7 weeks to see what players are still interested in playing good football.

A quick peek at his upcoming food budget most likely convinced him to try and waddle through another year or two.

He could also play until he is 104 and the Viqueens will still not have a SB appearance or a win.

I don't think you understand the Vikes have been in need of rebuilding aspects of this team such as the o-line safety and cornerback position for a while now as well as adding depth at the WR position and ave neglected their duties it would be horrible at how long the painstaking process would be if so many viking veterans left all at once

Michael Vick is the first player in NFL history with 300+ passing yards, 50+ rushing yards, 4+ TD passing, 2+ TD rushing in same game.
Problem is solved at QB next year.

Yes, for Philadelphia. As for Kolb, don't expect the Eagles to trade him cheaply either. Too bad we didn't seek Vick out a year ago when we could probably have had him for less than we paid for Moss. We might be able to pry Leinhart loose from Houston without paying too big a draft pick. Other than that it will be slim pickin's for capable QB's - just as it is every year. On point for the article, I hope that Phat Pat does stay around a couple more years. The team is already platooning him in and out of the lineup to give him the probably running plays. Skol Vikings.

And how are you going to get Philly to hand him over?

Why don't we all just forget Phillidelphia and everyother team and just get and develope a quarterback of our own that we can keep for more than just one or two years. Stop the carousell of quarterbacks, and just keep one,and stop looking for throwbacks. Then get some coaching that is creative in play calling and operation of the team. Maybe then,we might have a team worthwhile for at least a decade.

has anyoine else noticed the decline in the play of the Williams fellas since they were caught taking the starcaps .... the being fat part was a good cover to be taking the diuretics that masked the steroid use.... neither has been close to the same player since
