With Brett Favre's expected return and no suspension worries, it's ...

Until last week, the futures of Brett Favre, Kevin Williams and Pat Williams loomed over the Vikings as the biggest question marks of the offseason. Full Story

Just read something on another Viking website that's VERY disturbing. Tarvaris Jackson is going/already is mentoring Joe Webb. He should not be allowed within 100 yards of any young, possible QB of the future. T-Jack has a lifetime passer rating of 77.9, 18 Int's, 14 Fumbles and has been sacked 41 times. Proof once again Klink is the dumbest Head Coach when it comes to knowing the NFL QB position. And please, do not give him credit for getting Favre. Favre made it clear it was Minny or nowhere.

Although I agree that cohesiveness is critical, I think confidence is just as important. A tough schedule will really put them to the test. Start by smacking the 'Aints and just keep pickin' em off one-by-one. This team is still good enough to go the distance.

He also has 10 wins, 9 losses and 21 TD'S. What was his passer rating last year and the year before? Why leave those facts out? It usually is the #2 and #3 QB's who show rookies the ropes, especially when it's May and the starters aren't even in camp yet. Jackson may never be the "answer", but don't knock him for doing his duty and trying to be a good teammate. Favre stated it was Childress that talked him out of retirement. Try your BS on a Packer thread: they might fall for it over there.

Maybe better- if the rookies step up,(and there is no reason to believe they won't) The Vikes will be an even bigger offensive threat than last year. If they can overcome the O-line woes, they would be unstoppable...

I agree, the Ain'ts game is crucial, as a confidence boost- the Vikes are a better team than the Ain'ts- and beating up on them the first game of the season would really set the tone for the rest of the season...

The Vikings probably would be better off with Favre rather than without him. TJack has proven incapable of leading an NFL team with any kind of consistency or success. The team needs to draft or trade for a QB for the future even assuming Brett returns for one more go around. many of the pieces for a championship run are in place.

Favre coming back = bad news for Bears (ha ha) and packers. Favre 4-0 vs A-Rog and packers. It's going to be a good year.

Get your #s right idiot. bert has only played the Packers twice= 2-0. Dabears 1-1. Dam queen fans are stupid, you prove it every time you post. Take your hand off the shifter when talking about the queens, and deal with facts. queen fans know nothing about football, and they prove it every time they post. Bumbling idiots.

Here's a question: if Childress is so dumb, why did Favre have his best season in 19 years when Childress became his coach?

Answer: Because you suck.

This fan knows the Vikings, fumble the ball, are poorly coached, and lose in big games because the other team is more physical. Other teams in the division might be black and blue, but this Viking, team will remain purple because they are to finesse.

LMAO @ to finesse ... that might be the first time i hav ever heard the purple d-line called finesse ... i am sure ray / pat / kevin & jared had a real bellie laugh over that one ... i do not think i hav "ever" seen steve hutchinson out physicaled "EVER" ... now ifin ya wanna talk raw power lets talk adrian and toby ... when i watch their highlight reels "finesse" is not the first thing that comes to my mind ... i think #4 said it right when he said "that jared allen he is a beast" ... the vikings run the ball ... and ... stop the run ... and ... are very special on special teams ... all the opponent has to do is show up on time and we'll see who is too finesse (still lmao at to finesse) maybe ask mr all-world-rogers about the purple finesse ... lol

I'm thinking because this was the most talented team offensively he was ever on? You Kool Aid drinking Klink lovers equate wins with Childress being a better Coach. Great talent overcomes poor coaching in the regular season but not the playoffs. Not one player has gotten better after being drafted and around Klink for 3 years. Sidney Rice's success is strictly because of Favre. AP has regressed every year and now has no confidence and is a fumbling machine. What is really sad is Klink knows talent - his drafts and trades/free agent pick ups have this team at a talent level probably the best ever - he just can't coach it - certainly not in big games.

You are the idiot. The poster was saying that after this year, Favre will be 4-0 against the Pack. Try some reading comprehension. He wasn't talking about the record against the Bears.

After reading this persons comment and feeling sorry for his insecurities, I then noted where he lives. Hager City Wisconsin, otherwise known as loserville. Enough said.
