funny article TOM...as others have said though...Les was an assistant for Andy as well. however, i think the major difference between the two is this: one was an assistant....the other a clipboard holder...so Andy to clarify what Tom said...that's payback for sending us the clipboard holder. one other thing...i remember the last time these two met with something on the line and a certain number 7 wearing QB for the Vikes(who shall remain nameless); got beaten by a certain number 5 wearing QB for the birdies(who shall also remain nameless) and hopefully far from any future Vikes roster...so yeah Andy...take that...GO VIKES!!!

I know Tom gets paid on how many hits his pointless articles get so I will help him out.
There seems to be a lot of whining from adult players that get a ton of money for playing a GAME because they played Tues instead of Sun. Holy cr@p, they need to figure out what they make hourly then stop their whining. They may need help with the math.......... |

Yes, he's wrong on Frazier NOT being a Philly asst, but otherwise correct. I'm waiting here on the Pioneer Press website for brilliant fans to chime in, in TJoke's defense and say he's really still developing and deserves another shot at starting here. Come on, morons - speak your mind (like WHATEVER from Las Vargas - the stupidest fan in football fandom history). One game only, yes, but last night you saw a quarterback who doesn't panic. Who is even tempered. Pretty accurate. And potentially a future leader. Who can go through reads - all the things Jokeson never was and never will be. So come on, losers - chime in and explain, once again, why we should get Jokeson resigned and have him compete for the starting job. Webb was better last night in his first start than Jokeson ever was on any given day - by far, you may have noticed........ Best plan may be sign a very good vet (NOT McNabb, though) and put Joe right behind him, but possibly get Joe in to the mini camp environment, OTAs, camp and see where it goes. Seat of the pants feel, but he 'looks' like he has the mental skills, pragmatism, maturity and attitude of a winner.

Just to play Devil's Advocate I could easily make a sound case for re-signing him.....from a business and from a need standpoint..........but I already have done that in the past on other threads..........ONLY S A BACK-UP, NOT STARTER.EVER. QB's are thin in Minny and TJ is a decent BACK-UP that knows the system, however with the emergence of Webb now and the way he has been villified I now agree it is time for him to move on. Vikes still need to draft one in the first round and pick-up a FA..........I DISAGREE WITH YOU McNabb would be fine for a year. |

Funny to look back at Sundays paper to all the PP sports writers prediction for the final score (most of them predicting Eagles 40+ points) and basically wrote this team off. Take that Tom Powers and the rest of your buddies at the PP.

Well, Tom, they've had a lot of disorder to thrive on this year. New year, new coach, new stadium, new QB, and um, maybe some new, better fans? Skol Vikings.

McNabb sucks. He's been overrated his entire career. He is a playoff choke artist. He doesn't deserve to knock the mud off of Webb's cleats. TJack is worse. If Andrew Luck is available, pick him up. If not, find a decent pocket passer and draft some OLinemen and some secondary. |

Gee Tom, your last article said there was a pox on the Vikings. Now we find out the victory was all about Tuesday night discomfiture.
Just another stupid article from Powers making more foolish conjectures. |

HOF player overrated????? That is a first amigo, THEY are usually pretty picky on who they let in and he will be in, he holds every Eagle passing record there is. He may be past his prime but he would only be brought in for a year.....two tops while our next guy gets ready. Hell he may not even have to be a starter depending on how things go. He brings experience and knowledge to the table as well. I wouldn't mind Orton either. |

Overrated. I didn't make a mistake. A great OLine and a VERY talented Westbrook helped him achieve those goals. Sure, he can make some deep throws, and he's big enough to slide a D-tackler. However, when the game was on the line, even Reid knew to give the ball to Westbrook. ESPN was extremely helpful in boasting his record. Choke. Artist. |

Orton would be a pretty good fit with the offense, I can see that. |
