Who the heck said I was a Packer fan, wipe? I'm a transplanted Panthers fan, born and raised in NC. I was warned when I moved north that the majority of the MN fans are awfully fairweather. Why did you lose an NBA and an NHL team? Living here 5 years has shown me that MN fans are the most fickle in the nation which is why the 2012 Vikings will be the LA Vikings, upon which they will win their first Superbowl.
My advice, educate yourselves on the issue BEFORE you blindly choose sides.
Slash, a belated welcome to the North. I am a Packer fan and feel I can help create further understanding relative to the Viking fan Psyche. As you already stated. They are fairweather. If they had a losing season this board would be blank. Whenever something goes wrong it is never their fault, it is someone elses.
To the Viking, There is nothing more important than beating the Pack. Even if they win 2 games all year, if it is the Packers, it is a success. Afterall, they have never and will never win a Superbowl (while in Minnesota).
Second, a few phrases used regularly by every Viking coach and player:
Brett, I'll send you the training camp schedule so you know when to join the team.
I did not know what was in it!
When I am asked to give a sample do I have to use my own urine?
Was I wrong to party on a boat with those girls and touch them in those naughty places?
Can you tell me where the stadium is? It's that inflatable building downtown.
Was it wrong to run down the metermaid?
Does the fullback count as 1 man or two in the huddle!
Sure we had too many turnovers but we played well enough to win!
We lost because of all those illegal hits!
We lost because of poor officiating
We lost because the league does not want us in the Superbowl (conspiracy theory).
Unfortunately they are unable to engage in productive discussion. Whenever challenged they lash out with mean spirit because they have nothing of substance to rely on!
Good luck to the Panthers next season!

Your cheese spread prognostication and further ramblings are proof enough of your affiliation.
The NFL is negligent, the Williams are negligent, one game suspension, and we'll move on.
Too bad for you, and all others that have convicted the WWC without trial.
NC probably threw a huge going away party the day you left.

We could also turn the tables on this little rant and talk about packer players who are, or were, child molesters, drug abusers, convicted felons, and deviants who defecate in women's closets. Childish comments like yours are what makes Viking fans loathe packer fans.

For the record, I have read most of the same whining about officiating, etc. over on the Milwaukee JS when packer fans explain away their losses.

I agree with your point, unfortunately with a habitual history of failure the Viking discretions are magnified.
These rants as you refer to them are exactly the result of what I said before, Viking fans can't discuss football logically without personally trashing people. So to join in the conversation we often find it incumbant upon ourselve to lower or comments to that of the competition.

When was it you were trying to talk football without trashing the Vikings?
The WWC is on our team, worry about that revolving door line you prance out onto the field, I'll bet ShAaron is.

40for60 thanks for proving my point. Your non-topic posts prove you are indeed a wipe, and a used wipe at that. I did not care for the Packers because of the 96 NFC Championship game but I care less for their North brethern now that I've gotten to know their fans. I've been to MN once and came away with the understanding that MN drivers do not know any courtesy or knowledge of the left vs right lane. How's that for OFF TOPIC? Got anything ON TOPIC to add to this thread?

Finally, some meaningful smack! I will no longer respond to meaningless drivel from the likes of 40for60 as I believe it's unfair to spar with an unarmed opponent.

South Carolina Vikings? Priceless!! I might consider cheering for them then.
