Good call on Grantham. If the season goes south (again) and the fans and media call for Romeo's head, Grantham will step in and maintain the continuity of what we're trying to accomplish. The last thing this team needs is another new direction.

I have to admit I totally wrote off Gary Baxter ever playing football again. If he can come back and play just one down, that would be amazing! Good for you Gary! Your hard work is an inspiration!

this is a 6 win team max. the browns would have been smart to get a veteran qb from somewhere. but hey, this is the browns we're talking about.

I went to a camp last year and all i remember is Todd Grantham being ALL business. I was pumped up by his coaching abilities. He gets right in players faces and tells them what he expects to get done. He even called big Ted a lazy fat a$$. I know that's a guy I'd like to have coaching my team.

good to see some continuity with the Browns-- Braylon "Helicopter" Edwards is still dropping balls

Browns are trying to hide their disappointment with Brady Quinn. It may be too early to use the "b" word, but all signs point to the fact that the Browns did not get the "finished" product they thought they would get with Quinn. Don't be surprised if the Browns play hardball in the negotiations. They are clearly trying to limit their risk. Brady on the other hand, if he realizes how weak of a position he is in, may agree to low ball terms. Watch this development closely and it will be telling about the QB future of the Browns. With Quinn already out of the picture, the Browns' brain trust will be looking long at Derek Anderson. There may be more upside with him than Frye, but there are a few more unknowns as well.

How is Quinn a bust? They got him for dirt cheap.

I find it hillarious that we gave away what is probably the 1st - 3d best pick in 2008 for a QB who is getting showed up by Joe-bag-of-donuts.

What kind of idiots waste a year with slow-release-noodle-arm Frye, then insult themselves by overpaying for a Tim Couch clone, only to have a solid QB prospect sitting on his ass on the sideline all the while?

Oh yea, to add insult to injury we waste a high pick on an offensive lineman, who like all OL, is a dime a dozen.

Just remember this, fathers don't dream of their sons growing up to be offensive lineman, and as far back in 5th grade peepee football if a kid can't catch, run, cut, pass or tackle, he gets sent to the offensive line.

This team has rebuilt the line 3 times in 8 years. They haven't added one single proven TD maker, game breaker.

This team is identical to the 1999 version and will do well to win 3 games.

What does Crennel have against rookies? Last year Northcut dropped everything thrown his way but he wouldn't give the 3rd round pick a chance. The O-line, why isn't Thomas working with the 1st team? Will we ever have continuity on the O-line?

Ghoolie knows as much about football as he does about brain surgery... He gets kicked off every blog on the net so he has to find a newspaper forum to spout his venom...Browns will win 10 this year and make the playoffs regardless of what ghoolie bastagutchie says....

Take a deep breath folks. It's the voluntary workouts. It's too early to know anything. It's too early to say Quinn is a bust. He's a rookie, learning a new system with a much bigger/quicker def. It will take some time. Thomas has to earn first team reps. Vets don't like it when rookies just get automatically put on first team. He will be out there in the first game.

Deion Sanders mentioned last season that when he played with the Ravens he was highly impressed with Derek Anderson's abilities.

It should not come as a surprise to Brown's fans that he wins the job.

Yea DA is the best of the three QB's. At 6"6 he can see the defense coming plus he has a cannon! This only happens if the O-line better which i believe it should be from last yr.

DA is not just the best choice. I feel he could be one of the best in the game period. If he and Lewis are 100% you can look forward to a winning season. Toughest hurdle will be the Ravens.
