Could it be the Dolphins actually have a long range plan for the future in place, to replace the short sighted plug and play mentality that has placed this franchise where it is today. As a group the whole team has failed for years. Miami has tried to improve with replacing coachs and management, maybe just maybe it's the players that need to go.

One thing for sure when training camp begins they better have there chin straps buckled, because the new guys know they have a chance to make the team. They won't be asking for autographs, they will be handing out black and blues.

I'm all for waving the white flag...Starting anew...We do still need many players...Many young players.
Bowens is one of the most versatile players in football.Behind J.T. and Zach,he is one of the few favorite sons on this team. And best of all,he's not even 30yrs old.
There are some players we need to keep.Bowens is one of them!

If we in fact land the Pats 2nd round pick for Welker, and trade McMichael for a 3rd rounder, my hope is we move up by trading our 9th pick and one of the 3rd rounders for Alan Branch. He's a Seymour type that would be a clog at NT for many years. Holiday is coming back, and Roth showed great signs last year of being ready to start. You combine that starting front, with a LB not named JT who can actually get to the QB in Joey Porter, and suddenly your defense is that much better, and alot less "aging" as the media likes to say.
Still have 2 2nd round picks and our 3rd rounder to address OG and the secondary. It's nice to actually have those things called draft picks on the first day again.
YOU NEED TO THINK ABOUT WHAT THE PATS GET FOR THAT PICK [ IF IT HAPPENS], AND WHO'S THROWING TO HIM. DO YOU HAVE ANT IDEA THE KIND OF HAVIC HE WILL CAUSE THE DOLPHINS.

what we need to do is have a fire sale. if it's a youth movement we want, we should put Zach and Jason on the block as well. this ALL started with Wayne firing Shula... the Fins have done NOTHING ever since. It's sad what's happened to this team. Imagine Brees in aqua and orange... WHO THE F*CK OPS FOR CPEP RATHER THAN BREES!!!!!!

it's stunning how many mental gaffs this organization has made. all the while, the Pats, Jets, and THE F*CKING SAINTS regroup as if it's a pretty simple task.

it'll be a minor miracle if Dolphin Stadium is 30% full on gameday this year.

God Bless the Fins

You're talking about a great character guy who is at best a slot receiver, and a fine one at that. We drafted Hagen in the 3rd round last year, and being that receivers typically take 3 years to develop, you need to give him more playing time. When you are a team that's rebuilding and one of your 2 strengths is receiving depth, you can't afford to give a slot receiver 5 mil a year. Lets be honest with ourselves, we are not competing with the Pats next year. We need to continue the infusion of youth. As much as I love Welker and the fact that he's only 25 and all he brings to the table, he's no better than a high quality slot receiver. Which every team needs that's ready to win, but we have too many gaping holes. Let Hagen get a chance to continue to develop, sign someone who can stretch the field with some speed, and hopefully draft another Crowder type player with that late 2nd round pick.

Roth deserves a chance. If we kept all of the old blood, Matt would of ended up going to some other team and been all-pro. Get Manny Wright back in there. I don't think everyone will be as hard on him as before because we all see what kind of prick Saban is. In '96 the defence became solid because of JT and ZT. Time to get young talent again. Crowder is a good start but we need more. OF all the Defensive free agents, I hate to see Yeremia Bell go.
I believe Bell was a restricted free agent and the fins tendered him an offer that he signed. If I'm remembering correctly that means he will be on the team or they get a 2nd round choice if another team were to sign him and the fins didn't match. Same situation as Welker if I'm not mistaken.

Carter and Wilkerson are past their prime. Bowens, at best, is an adequate, middle-of-the-road veteran, not a star player. We can afford to dump them and get younger and faster and quicker.

Severing ties with McMichael is painful but necessary. The Green Bay pickup is a solid move, getting a guy who can catch the ball and play an important role in the offense.

I am upset with the way coach cameron is releasing players and not signing play to take their place. I sure hope coach cameron knows what he is doing. If not it will be a long, long long season.

Boy these teams are throwing the money around. That is a lot of money for a guy that had 5 1/2 sacks last year.

I would have liked to seen Miami bring Kevin back, but not at the money he was making and certainly not for the money that Tampa paid him.

You fix whats broken not everything at once. The defensive line was not broken they could have kept Carter with cap relief this year just for example. There are needs offensive line, secondary, a good running back and linebacker that would have gotten this team over the hump now they are making the defesnive line a need too. Dumb! Dave W got fired / quit when he tried to replace the whole offensive line in a year. It does not work and the Dolphine have piad the price for that decision for the past 3 years. Yea Ricky Williams also did not run that year for Dave either but why would he want to get killed running behind a awful offensive line and cut his career and life short by about 5 years. It will be interesting to see what song everyone is singing at the end of the year. Too bad we did not have the chance to hire Schottenhimer!
i disagree with every point ya made

#1-the offensive line needs continuity,...the defensive line dosent...different deal all-together,..carter has been a major under achiever his entire career!!..including his college days in gator country,..ya look at him and ya think he will be a killah,...but he dont produce,..maybe that why he has been on so many teams,..

#2-shottenhiemer!!!...dude..re ach in your pocket,...grab the crack pipe,...and throw it as far as you can!!!...thou i will say i am very nervous about cameron....he couldnt even win in college

Yep rebuild is the word and Zach and Taylor are too old for that kind of stuff they deserve better and are just going to get injured this year trying to do too much on a team that is going to need way to much help. If rebuild is the word time to trade Zach and Taylor let them go to teams that are going to win now instead of may be sometime in the far off future.
Next year they are going to be to old and beat up to get anything for them anyway so just as well get some draft picks for them this year fans. Muller is not going to get it done if he could not get a draft pick for McMicheal either. Mare is next of course. Good luck Dolphins selling those tickets you just raised the prices on next year. The Dolphins have had a problem filling the staduim when the team was medocre to good in the past and next year the dolphin staduim will be a ghost town. Yes I have been a dolphin fan for years and will be one next year but the only way you are going to see a game "not" at the dolphin staduim is going to be on pay per view or listen to it on the radio! Nobody else is going to carry them.
