PEARLAND, TEXAS: Browns defensive back Kenny Wright was arrested Thursday after police said he led them on a quarter-mile foot case that began in the parking lot of the police station.

The NFL shouldn't stand for players making stupid decisions like this and bringing on the negative press. Toughen and actually enforce the code of conduct.

Possession and evading arrest would get a normal person fired from their job, most likely. Why should NFL players be any different??

Rick,no one is judging your cousin as a person but someone who has the world by the gonads and is stupid enough to do what he did. Especially in a police station parking lot. Think about it for just a minute. He had fame and fortune well maybe not as much as DA or K2 but cetainly more than you and me. He put all that in jepardy by acting stupid and compounded it by running. He probably figure oh crap what have i done a thought he could out run the cops.

Well, I suppose the Browns could try to fill the roster spot with Ty Law - I think he's still on the market. He's near the end of his career, but he should do until next year's free agency and draft. All of that would be predicated on Wright getting cut, of course.

Nobody is saying he is a poor family man or the rest of his family are bad people. I am simply saying that his actions are not needed here in this city or this team. He was graced with a gift to play professional football and he should have respected that. Instead he did something stupid that, unfortunately or not, is going to get judged. Oh well, you do not want to be placed in the media like that, don't do the crime.
