There is no QB issue. Play Brady Quinn and win some games. Play Interception Frye or Fumble Anderson, and lose all your games. Cut those two losers.
Brady is the future of the Browns.
Go Browns !!!
The operative word is FUTURE (not present)...Charlie Frye stinks as a practice QB but is a gamer; if he can't "cut the mustard" in the weeks before the bye week (assuming the line (which, I have to say, looks good on paper) holds its own against the Pittspukes and Baltimores of the world), then you know that the CF experiment is over (not until then, though, because he hasn't had a line to speak of in front of him until (we believe) now).

Oh 12 years after the Baltimore departure I refrain from Cleveland Browns subjects other then why I did not in 1985 through the time Bernie L
Kosar was peddled off the club.
One Bernie Kosar made an appearance at 123 South Forge Street in the fabled Boardman/Central-Hower Basketball rivalry.
Two Jay Brophy a 1972 West Hornet was the last class to wear the Orange & Brown for the Northeastern Ohio Bantam Association Franchise.
Later Jay would not only bring Trophies back to Copley Road for John R.Buchtel High School but played Big Time Football with the Miami Hurricanes thus bringing Buffalo Bills Jim Kelley and Cleveland Browns Bernie Kosar into household names in Akron after the later two won a National Championship at The Orange Bowl defeating Nebraska.
Jay Brophy also Coached High School and NBA great LeBron James.
Bernie Kosar by the way is in my view Mr.Cleveland Brown inlight of his wanting to play for the Browns when it was not popular and ofcourse giving the Eulogy to all time great Lou Groza whom I shared birthdays with.
I hope Browns fans(The REAL o n e s ) can re-esemble their historic pride and clean up this Pittsburgh,Cincinnati & Baltimore mess in the near future.
We the inheritors of this Sunday Pastime owe our children better then what we've lately displayed.
Obviously you "S P O R T S " have been delinquent in dummying up the listless trash that somehow seeped into the confines of Cleveland Browns Stadium
Furthermore I won't mention any names like "Budman" from the "Seedy "Highland Square Bars !!!
Thanks,Bernie !!!!!!

Probably one of the smartest things said on here yet.

I'm all for starting Frye. Get it done. Let him prove himself (for the better or for the worse). Give him through week 5. That still gives you week 6 to hammer out a trade for one of our wonder-twins (both of them leave us wondering....).

If anything..... ownership needs to sit with Crennel and have a serious talk. Something along the lines of.... "So, Romeo, what's your plan for the next 3 years for this team? What do we need to focus on for next year's draft and the year after that?" And.... if he can't answer that..... then seriously contemplate finding a new coach who will not dismantle what has been built so far and will make best use of the talent this team DOES HAVE!

I think the biggest question we have is head coach. I think Savage has done a nice job of aquiring talent for this team. However, RAC can't get out of his own way as coach. All he does is make bizzare decisions and make a fiasco out of everything.
When we hired him I thought it was a good move. I figured at least this guy would be able to take a bunch of nobodys and put together a solid defense, being the defensive mastermind he was credited as, but he hasn't even done that. Our D has sucked since he's been here.
I dunno...but if I have to keep hearing we need one more year for one more year, I'm gonna go nuts. It's time to turn this ship around RAC, if you can't do it then pack your bags and go back and ride Belichek's coat tails again, Mr. Defensive Genious...yeah right!
Its been obvious for two years that Crennel is what the Boston insiders were saying off the record when he was hired. He's a company man who followed orders and kept his mouth shut in Boston. The guy is no decision maker and would have never been hired if Savage had really dug into his background. The national media predicts 2 or 3 wins which, without any realistic chance of stopping the run, is probably accurate. Keep Quinn, of course, throw Frye to the wolves this year while Quinn adapts to the pro game and start looking a legitimate NFL head coach to right the ship in '08.

You obviously have never watched a game. The defense has been great. Only problem is they are on the field except when their 3 downs and punt offense is on the field due to their stellar OL! You are a perfect example of the Brown's intelligence. Your article was almost too stupid to reply to.
Great, yeah we are ranked at the bottom of the league the last two years. If that's great, what is your definition of excellent. Go run one up a flag pole numbnuts!

That would be your brains that comes after lunch. You are a typical foul mouthed Browns fan. Can't wait to hear you excuses when they suck with your future boy at the helm.
Wow. Again.... witty comeback.=\

Seriously. Close down the computer. Go outside. Enjoy Friday. Quit making statements like....

I just hope that if we do hire a new HC that he doesn't try to tear the ship down and rebuild it again. If that happens I may have to go with our owner to Europa and start watching soccer. This team is a couple defensive linemen and an heir apparent RB away from being good. We need a coach who can come in and work with what has been built by Savage.
