Full story: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

If the Dolphins planned to make a big splash in free agency, they will have to do it in a shallow pool.

Does Flozell Adams mean anything to anybody? He'd help more that Faneca.

take faneca and adams, stay away from briggs and for god sakes trade the first pick for more picks even if you feel that your not getting the proper value...within reason...ps. is it just me does anyone else think the cardinals could use DMF more than any other team....think about it!!!

i watched a lot of cowboys this past year and adams looked almost too big at times. he looked slow in pass blocking but really good in the run game. all in all he was better than anyone we have right now but he's too old to sign to big money. that being said he's worth a try to get in free agency.

It would be great to get both Flozell and Faneca. Flozell would pay more imediate dividends than Faneca, being he knows what to expect.
On the Zach front, Saints made him an offer! Maybe I can go watch him play against my home falcons at the GA dome!(not a falcons fan). Especially since they hired alot of the crappy assistants that the fins got rid of!

Well... i know Zach wants to do the London thing. He missed out in October. If he signs for the Saints, he'll get the priviledge of being part of trashing the hallowed wembley turf this year!

I'd take Adams and also consider taking asante samuel, to counteract Moss etc

This is bad news for you Awfulin fans.
With the mentallity of "I want to play for a playoff team" means your gonna have to overpay to get free agents to come to your lowly franchise.
Plus you have to outbid other teams as well. Of course they'll be hired guns who don't care where they go as long as they get lottsa $$$$$$. Like Asante.
The Awfulin management might have to re-stratigize. They want to be frugal yet successful, aint gonna happen.
New England can afford to let people like Asante go because they have someone to take his place and save money to get free agents like stallworth, trades like Moss& Welker.
They're smart, very smart. The Jets and Buffalo are getting stronger and not loosing people. That's the key.
Unless you can pulloff a coup in free agency, it's gonna take forever even with good drafts to even compete in the AFC EAST. So's if yoo's wanna jump on da Jet Bandwagon..it's ok.
We can make this forum, "Jumpin for Jets",cool huh?

Go after the O-line guys, we need them desperatly. Forget Samuel, he'll take every penny of cap space we just gained. besides we might need that extra cash if we get stuck with the #1 pick. GO PHINS!!!

Hey Jef Fan what the hell has your worthless piece of crap team achieved in recent living memory?? Oh that's fight sweet f*** all! As for jumping on "da Jets Bandwagon", you actually have to be acheiving/winning something for there to be a bandwagon to jump on you p**k! Only place your bandwagon is rolling is back down the hill.... just as s**t does too ironically....so why don't you try rubbing your 2 IQ points together, and seeing if you can spark a semi intelligent thought, and f**K off to a Jets blog where you may find like minded losers who give a damn for your worthless opinon!

Adams should be a lock for the Dolphins, if he's not I don't know why. And we should go after Faneca also, who the Tuna already knows. Both of them would take care of the O line , no more problems. Draft Long and Flacco.

Been listening to Sirius on NFL in the evening drive home, and they're not crazy about Flacco. I don't know much about him myself. any one else know anything about him?

Free agency does have big names, except Miami will not dign any as with previous years. They are going to pick up second stringers and try to turn em into backups.

I agree. It seems like whenever the Dolphins go after a "big name" free agent and have to offer a big contract, it ends in disappointment. I don't think the Dolphins need to sign 2-3 "big name, top-dollar" free agents. Particularly if they're in their 8th season or older. Better to go after the younger, free agents, maybe one who had lots of potential, but underperformed in their first 3-4 seasons. These are the guys who are relative bargains, they're hungry to prove they can play, and they're much less likely to disappoint. Terrell Buckley in 1996 was a good example. He didn't work out in Green Bay as a high draft pick, but Miami got him and he ended up developing into a really good player while in Miami.

I just foresee a lot of disappointment if Miami throws $80M+ at a player like Assante Samuel. He's a great player, don't get me wrong, but the expectations that come from paying that kind of money to one free agent far exceed the actual payoff we'd see on the field.

You are like the rest of the green fags, you have a sense of urgency because you know that them Miami boyz are on its way back up and have hired more talent as far as coaching and management than the Jets could have dreamed for! Yea, who will the Jets draft this year? Another BrickShaw! HAHAHHAHAHAH! You guys are even worse, no QB, BROKE RB, TERRIBLE ONLINE, BEST LB IS LEAVING AND HAS KNEE ISSUES, STUCK WITH SAME MANAGEMENT! free agency isnt what some folks believes it is. most NFL teams do not let the best players go. Look at the Joey Porter signing. Does anyone believe Porter is worth 20mil ? How did Trent Green work out? Everyone knew is was a concussion waiting to happen. look at all the Dolphin free agency signings,,,none have worked out,,,none.

Bye the way jet fan..I hear that the JETS want Asante, well again, they would have to fork up 100 million because Asante would know that its all about the money since the Jets wont be making any SB's ever again. Your HC will probably get sued as well and most likely loose his job since he was apart of the cheating mess with on of the leagues worst franchises that got its 5 years of glory by cheating.
