Just to add my 2 cents worth, we all wanted to see Charlie succeed, just like we did Bernie K or Tim C or Brady Q to. We all want to see some one grow up a Browns fan and live their dream. With all the bad news in the media, how inspiring to see someone live their dream. Yes, some dreams are fleeting. Charlie was a class guy and I hope he has a long career in the NFL, but the Cleveland situation wasn't the best for him

Change is never easy. Hope we beat them Who Deys!

Rusty..good qoute.. but you are a little "rusty"
Brian Sipe didnt have half the arm Frye had but he was succesful. Kosar had a buggy wip for an arm and the ball looked like a "squib" kick in the air most of the time.

The difference? They both had great offensive lines. Stick Quinn behind this group of misfits and we still have the same problems. Why isnt that the Browns want to sacrifice the other QB's but not Quinn. Reason: They know how pathetic they are.

Frye is not the problem. Coaching and management need to be fired. The Browns have become a joke.

The way the offensive line played against the steelers even Payton Manning couldn't do any damage. When you have no time to throw its not your fault!

You're lucky they didn't kidnap him last night and drop him off somewhere in the middle of Tacoma with a grocery bag tied around his head. This is the NFL. It's ruthless. Guys get cut all the time. Did you expect Phil Savage to hold his hand and gently whisper the news in his ear? He's garbage and everyone in the league seemed to know it except the Browns. Classic retard, uneducated, white-trash Browns fans to root and root and keep apologizing for the "local boy" instead of using brains/eyes to realize the truth: Arena League MVP 2009!!!!

Vaseline Edwards cant catch. He's still here.
Dawson cant kick pass the 30. He's still here.
The Offensive Line still cant block. There still here
The Defensive Line is like Swiss Cheese. There still here.
The Defensive Backs werent burned..they were scorched. There still in the endzone where Santonio Holmes embarrased them.
The Coaching staff was outcoached, outclassed, outsmarted (didnt take much)and basically did not prepare the team. There still here. So who will get traded next week?

Good for you Charlie! You might not see it now, but this is the best thing that could happen to you. Maybe their offensive line can protect you. This could add years on to your career. Just ask Tim Couch about what happened to him.

Yeah, the 4 for 10 and one pick Sunday was just a glimpse of Charlie's talent.
The fact that the Browns only get a sixth round pick shows what the league thinks of him.

LOL....it's your choice, though. I am making the choice to switch to the Bengals after 29 years of being a Browns fan. It's tough, having been born in the city of Cleveland and raised in its suburbs. But my loyalty (which was near-endless) has finally been exhausted.

For the record though, I have no problem with getting rid of Frye. It's just that the entire situation was handled so unbelievably bad, from beginning to end.....what a colossal embarrasment for this franchise.

And what is their justification for sticking with Anderson? He was the worst of the 4 quarterbacks in camp.....he is now the worst out of the 3 they have left, and fittingly he's the starter.

Good thing we have Carson Palmer.

There is a bigger picture to look at.First of all you Quinn loving people you got your wish.Second you will be disapointed. If all of you think Frye was the problem you are mistaken. The reason the Browns suck is because the front office and coaching suck.I coached beginers for a couple years and the first thing you teach is fundamentals.Show me where they have this. The basics of football is missing.Lets get back to the basics.

Now for all you a$$hole pittspuke bandwagon jumpers.Enjoy your grade school comments and your small peckers because your wives like our Browns fan bonners while your away.By the way "punisher" your icon looks like a light in the loafer type of queer you find in pittspuke.

Good for Charlie!

The Browns are a loser organization anyway. What am I thinking, the real Browns left in the 90's. This so called team does not deserve to be called the Browns.Besides, you Browns fans do not deserve anything after the way you treat visiting teams' fans. With the fights and throwing of beer cans you are a disgrace. With the way some of you act, you could make anyone in this area a Steelers fan and that makes me sick to write.

Typical stupid comments from the typical loser Browns' fan that continues to make excuses and shell out money to support this losing franchise.

Ruthless? Sadistic? Why do you use such invective? I merely speak the truth. Chaz Frye sucked. And now he's gone. Good for the Browns. Chaz is currently a third string QB on a good team; his NFL career is now in peril. He won't play another game, you can bank on it. How come Chaz gets so much slack? Ken Dorsey was cut a few weeks ago and he's a "nice guy" who "works his butt off"? Where was the outrage when he was let go? Just because Chaz grew up in Hicksville, Ohio everyone just adores him. It's nepotistic and idiotic. Don't you want your Browns to win? Does your dream team consist of Chaz at QB, your brother at running back, and your uncle at left tackle? Wake up. say hello to the Brady Quinn era.

Barry Bonds

I agree with TAA. You are way off base in your so called expert but "sadistic" criticism of Frye. Way off base. Frye has the potential of being a good NFL Quarterback. Unfortunately no Quarterback could've produced the last 3 years in the Browns system or whatever you call it. This young man was set up to "fail". Like an illness Frye is only one symptom of major structural problems for the Cleveland Browns. Frye will now get the proper "tutleledge" he deserves from a winning coach and a winning organiziation. His time with the Browns, like all of their quarterbacks they have ruined, has set his career back. Hopefully know he will be able to proceed forward in a true NFL program. After I've said all that, if the Browns quality of players and offensive schemes are so good, why not put Brady in????? After all they were willing to sacrifice Charlie Frye, a home grown, blue collar kid, who has succeded every where he's went. The Browns Front Office knows what we know: from Top to Bottom they are pathetic and no quarterback will prosper in their system. Gut check time for Lerner, Savage, & Crennel. With Frye gone who will they blame then.

Art was right, get out of town while you can. The real Browns are alive and well and doing great in Baltimore (and with a ring on their finger).
It is an insult to the Browns name and history to let these incompetents be called 'Browns'- they should be made to change their name to CLOWNS which would suit them better.

why not trade the offensive line that is allowing all the sacks we keep cutting of the head to save those unionized jackasses who frankly couldn't stop a flea. They are willful in their laziness.
