"That's not the type of football we play,'' Jackson said. "To come out here on this day and play like that is kind of embarrassing.''

"Kind of"....!!! I think it goes way beyond "kind of.."

Colts had a bad day--it happens. Teams in the NFL are generally pretty tough, and the old axiom "on any given day" can happen. The Colts will be back.
I can understand bad days but this was a shipwreck!

1.#18 chokes and crumbles in pressure situations and in the playoffs-#19 won and performed well in thos same situations
2. the owner is a loser and a choker as well
3. The Colts team is not that good as a whole and Tony Dungy is overrated as well!!!!
And again...where were the Ravens this year. NOT in the playoffs!!!...stay on your own board and talk about your losers!

many reasons for the colt loss. so its definitely a team loss. and as much as i admire peyton manning, he flopped in the red zone sunday. on the last time they turned it over on down inside the 10yd. line, he had gonzalez open in the end zone and missed it and another play clark was open and he didnt see that. one series late they got 3 straight first downs going underneath. the next thing you know he chucked 2 passes deep that were incomplete and unnecessary i felt. but he cant see everything im sure but peyton still wants to go down field sometimes when its ill advised. is there a better qb? i dont think so. but he needs to show up crunch time. the defense didnt play with the intensity it has played with all season. did gary brackett play? freddy keiaho seemed to be trotting to the play...and finally to all the dwight freeney bashers, did you see his absence sunday? no pressure on the quarterback all day. and the middle screen kenton keith missed and was intercepted. hes gotta make that catch but he was in the game because as usual after every tough run and hit or long scamper joseph addai leaves the game. tony dungy i absolutely love but do you ever see him coaching on the sideline like you do bill belichick..over with the defense or offense with his clipboard diagramming or pointing things out? tony its your team..RUN IT!!!ron meeks is no tony dungy when it comes to defense. tom moore is and has been good so who calls those ill advised deep passes that arent necessary at the time? its time that the colts really examine themselves and define who they are.did you see the value of a good back up back. the chargers paid turner first team running back money to be there for times like sunday. did the colts miss dominic rhodes? when we go the season with back ups like keith, klecko, thomas, thorpe, SORGI, and charlie johnson, this is the sign of a team still searching. i hope they find themselves by .....NEXT YEAR

The teams that played "bend but don't break," milquetoast defense ALL lost this weekend. The teams that played disruptive, blitzing the passer all the time, ALL won. To expect 4 guys to be able to consistently beat 5 (or more) blockers was INCOMPETENT and the COLTS defensive ooordinator should be held accountable.

Ignoring the posters from New England, who would trash Manning if he had a qb rating of five thousand, I find it amazing the abuse he gets from (some) Colts fans. Both his INTs Sunday were tipped balls, and he didn't have anything to do with Harrison's fumble. He didn't "choke" inside the red zone--he was forced to throw every down by the utter lack of a running game. If anybody (even St. Thomas of Brady) puts it up 48 times, some bad things will happen...and some good things, like 400 passing yards. I'm a Charger fan, and happy to win, but we did so despite Peyton Manning, not because of him.

Freeney broke his foot; he didn't hurt his knee, but the result was the same. He wasn't there. Yesterday, it really showed.

You Colt fans were talking a lot of smack about the Bolts a few days ago. You have a very good team so most of you were anticipating this playoff game to be like the last game in SD and making all kinds of predictions like Peyton won't throw 6 INT, and the Colt offense won't be playing 2nd string due to injuries. So I can understand why almost all of you were not only predicting a win, but a blowout. The problem was you may know your team, but you did not know the Bolts. The Bolts that beat you yesterday were not the same team. The Bolts fans were trying to tell you that, but you did not listen. If your coaches and players thought like you, then that explains why you lost. You complained about your 2nd string barely getting beat in SD. Now you know what it is like to be beaten by a 2nd string. The Bolts have always had a lot of talent, but more importantly they finally gelled as a team recently just like the Colts gelled in the playoffs last year. Our recent 8 win record has only been bested by the Pats. Now you know how we felt when the Pats beat us last year in SD.
We cheered for the Colts last year, and hope you do the same for us. We have never taken Indy lightly and will not underestimate the Pats again. I doubt you will make the same mistake with us again either. Hold your head up Colts! You were simply beat by a better team yesterday. It can happen any week, but it just hurts more in the playoffs.

The 800 pound elephant sitting in the room needs to be addressed. That in effect serving as a metaphor for the BIG question. How is it that a team defense that leads the league in fewest points allowed give up a time consuming,80 yd.winning TD drive to a career 2nd stringer qb,and a backup runner. That same elephant was not addressed when the Colts lost to Pennington and the Jets,41-0,in the '02 playoffs,Rothlisberger and the Steelers in '05,and Voleck in '07.I maintain that this Colts team is the poster boy for underachievement this decade.Ask yourself why is that the Pats are always living up to their potential on the feild, and frequently exceeding it.Their talent at level at the skill positions does not exceed what the Colts have.Yet year in and year out,the NE team plays for conference and Super Bowl trophies. They are 17-0 with a QB who is rewriting all the record books. Why be angry with them? I wish them all the best-until someone shows me otherwise, they are THE TEAM OF THE DECADE.The Colts meanwhile, continue to "fly under the radar",meaning that they simply have not lived up to their potential this decade. This is due maybe to some fundamental flaw in the Colt organization. When career 2nd stringers make your award winning defense look inept, that is a coaching issue.True, we need better players at several positons, but i also think we may need different coaching as well.A team as talented and deep as the Colts should have more than 1 Lombardi in its showcase, and its greatest claim to fame should not be,"The Colts continue to fly under the radar".Maybe someone can find the elephant in the offseason.C'ya next year.
