This tandem is an upgrade. Trust me. You'll see. Linebacker... now that's a different story!

Yes,I feel this is an upgrade as well, but are Colts thin at this position in terms of depth?

This group of three with Jackson, Hayden and Jennings will be very good for a while. They bring serious hitting from the edges and when you can add that with the Bob Sanders missile. There will be some exciting hits. We also drafted two corners perfect for our system this year in HUghes and Coe. Freddie also may be an upgrade over Cato. He's just as fast and a bit stronger and more atheletic. This defense will be better than a lot have expected.

Lets see them play full time first ! After reading this areticle you thought these 2 were Champ Bailey and Chris Macallister ! Colts cornerbacks are not the greatest, but the biggest concern for the Colts is that laughable linebacking group led by the pathetic Rob Morris who wouldnt start for any other team in the league ! Will be a bad year for that Indy D.
Anyways, I am a Ravens fan, props to you guys for beating Baltimore, although you should thank Steve Mcnair for throwing a pick on the 1 yd line. Props to finally pulling 1 out of your ass and beating New England in the playoffs. And all you Colts fans should thank the lord you got to play Rex Grossman in your 1st and last Superbowl !

Colts wil go 10-6 this year and a 1st round playoff loss. The AFC is brutal and the teams that were as good as you guys last year, Baltimore, New England, San Diego got better while you got worse, especially on D, and a few teams that had a few games that cost them, Cincy and Pittsburgh will be very good also which means Indy you aint shit.

That's what I was thinking, those two guys will be great starters because they proved themselves in the playoffs. They are young and we should have an awesome backfield for years to come!

Put down the pot pipe. That D will be horrible. I am still in shock that D won a Superbowl, but you did get to play Rex Grossman and the horrible Bears O for the Superbowl. You were lucky Manning finally beat Brady in the playoffs in a shoot and out. You were lucky that Steve Mcnair played his worse game of the year when the Ravens D held the Colts O to 5 field goals, 2 given to them by a turnover and a big punt return.

COLTS D IS SAD, you have to have good linebackers to have a good D, BAD NEWS- ROB MORRIS IS YOUR BEST LINEBACKER !!!

Proved themselves in the playoffs ? Those 2 did nothing in Baltimore, Brady and New England put up 31 on the Colts and you played the worse QB to ever start a Super Bowl (Grossman). Lets see these 2 play a full 16 game schedule against several good teams before labeling them good.

And the Super Bowl XLI winner was....? I visited Baltimore once... what a dump. The only good things that came from Balitmore were packed in Mayflower trucks. By the way, thanks!

Dude you're so right about Indy & their cb's. I'm a cotls fan.
Most colts fans don't live in reality.

Our cb's & safties have always sucked...sometimes you just don't realize it when you have the worst run d in the history of the game, hell maybe just the worst d period!

ROB MORRIS IS HORRIBLE...HE WOULD BE LUCK TO START ON AN ARENA TEAM...THIS IS HOW BAD OUR D IS; ROB MORRIS!

I have no doubt that Jackson and Hayden would be a tremendous improvement on defense. I have no doubt about the receiving corps, the offensive line or the defense as a whole. My questions all have to do with the running back position behind Joseph Addai. I don't see James Mungro on the roster anymore. Do we have a quality guy behind Joseph Addai?

Oh yeah dude our safeties are terrible. That one guy Bob Sanders is terrible. Oh and that 6th round pick that started almost every game as a rookie was pretty terrible too huh. Yeah that defense that was one of the best in playoff history in the NFL was pretty bad. Rob Morris takes over at linebacker and all of a sudden you cant get a five yard gain on the ground, but yeah he is garbage.

Lots of haters out today.

Most Colts fans dont live in reality huh? You mean the reality of us winning the Super Bowl? Or you mean the reality of us just moving the next crop of young talent into position every few years and still winning 10, 11, 12, 13 games? Or maybe the reality of winning 3 or 4 divisional championships in a row.

Is that not your reality as well because I could have swore all those things happened.

Dont hate on Morris anyway. We have the only starting MLB in the league getting paid the minimum.

At least we dont have a starting linebacker crying about getting too little money and a DT that just got out of prison. Ooops....sorry Bears fans.

Thats why I am still in shock how they won a SB with that defense. I guess it was just a case of K.C. and Baltimore playing there worse games of the season. NE had no problem driving on that D, it was there D that cost them the game.

There is no way Indy does it again this year with a even weaker D, well unless Manning and Co put up 50 pts a game !

We sure were lucky huh? Who would have ever thought so much luck could find a single team. You dont have to be lucky to have McNair play a bad game....you just have to show up. That guy is about as washed up a player as you can get.

Perhaps all Super Bowl winners from now on should apologize right after winning it because they didnt play the toughest defense of all time and the toughest offense of all time.

No man I think we ARE lucky to have Rob Morris at the starting MLB spot. We arent having to deal with a Lance Briggs crying about not getting a long-term deal and wanting traded. We arent having to deal with a Ray Lewis type contract that forces the team to put a broken-down Steve McNair at QB.

Maybe you have to have good linebackers to have a good D, but apparently YOU DONT HAVE TO HAVE GOOD ONES TO WIN THE SUPERBOWL!

I am sure it will be all luck again this year.

Wasnt Rob Morris at LB vs Jacksonville when they ran for 400 yds or vs Houston when they ran for 300 yards. You guys stopped a bad KC offense, a bad Baltimore offense and scored just enough to beat thar Ravens D, Brady and Co scored at will and you played the horrible Grossman in the Super Bowl ! Your D is awful, and shutting down 3 of the worse offenses in the league is not much to talk about and means nothing for this upcoming of a year.

You must not be watching the same Rob Morris every other football fans watch. Maurice Jones Drew ran over that guy 3 or 4 times in Jacksonville. You have Freeney and Sanders, no one else. Tough to stop an NFL offense with only 2 good players

You guys won 1 Super Bowl and now you have 1 of the best D's in the league ??? Settle down there buddy, you won a Super Bowl, that means nothing for this year. Your D is pathetic. And by the way, winning the AFC South 3 times is not saying much. that division is horrible. Houston is just pathetic and Tennessee after coming on at the end of they year last year, lost all of there help for Vince young in the offseason and had a horrible draft.

Hey Larry,

When you have the best offense in the world your typically going to when quit a few games. When you have the worst D you don't win as many SB's as you should.

Please don't tell me your this nieve; why do you think he is the least payed MLB in league.

If you honeslty think he has any talent what-so-ever you need to re-read what I wrote earlier.

Back to the CB's. Who cares if your a rookie & start every game; THEY HAVE NO OTHER OPTIONS! Sanders, he hits hard &....?

NE didn't score 34 points against the Colts D. Samuel ran back a TD, so the Pats "O" got 24 points. Two of those scores came against a short field due to two long runbacks. Colts "O" meanwhile, had drives of 76, 76, 67, 59, and 80 yards against NE. Too bad Moss doesn't play defense - and too band he plays offense only when he feels like it. BTW, to the Morris haters, he was in the SuperBowl this year - and you watched it!

The Ravens defense is good but the offense is pathetic and always will be. Keep talking the smack because Cincy or Pittsburgh will win the division and one of the wild cards. The other wild card will go to Denver. Baltimore will be stuck on the outside watching the playoffs, which will include the Colts...Again. You can't play a third place schedule every year and make the playoffs. Maybe 2008 the Ravens might sniff the playoffs again, but I doubt it.
