Well it looks like Rolle is done in B'More. I doubt he is going to make it back this year from a neck injury and the Ravens will opt to release him and get younger. He had his hay day in TN and the ravens got a broken down dime back.

Hate to say it but I think it's time to move on from Rolle, we cannot depend on him to be healthy for more than 1 game in a row

Figures...probably for the best since he's been garbage out there anyway. Baltimore's history has been mired by overrated, oft-injured defensive backs.

I tjink Rolle is done here. He might be back towards the end of the year, but he'll be replaced by next season.

when this happened last year no one knew why. It then came out about his epilepsy. This may be a long recovery

why do they keep everyones injuries so much on the DL? I think Washington a former 1st round pick will develope extremely well and pick up where rolle left off. As for Kelley hmm, I think he is done too. I want to see more of that wrecking machine Barnes in the game while on defense, and the bolling ball Le'Ron McClain. We have some sick young talent on our squad not to mentions the Haloti Ngata's and such.

I agree with everyone that Rolle is done for good.

My God you are a moron. How do you have one of the best defenses in the NFL for so long by having " a history of the most overrated, oft-injured Defensive backs"? It's called getting old. |
He's garbage...I say good riddance. Maybe he can bum a ride out of town with Daniel Cabrera. |
I don't know if he's done here, but I think Washington has some growing to do. He got burned on that td by Holmes on a simple crossing route underneath. Maybe they'll play more zone coverage so he's less liable back there. The knock on him in Oakland was his tackling, not his coverage though. We'll see...
At least they didn't waste our time trying to convince us that Walker or Ivy were gonna get the starting job. They tried to pull that last week but of course wound up starting Washington. |
Put him on the IR and cut your losses. He is too fragile at this point in his career. Time to move on.
I don't know about all of that. If we can get him back on Nov. 2 then we use him as we can for the rest of this season. He should NEVER see the field in junk time though, or on the 3rd+20's and stuff. He is a veteran though and can make some plays, we just can't have him out there for all of them. |

Ouch...Rolle & Gregg out...Washington better step up in a big way! SHould hurt against a team like Tenn, but a team like Indy...ooof. Get it together boys! Lets Go Ravens! Lets Go Flacco!

Much as we need a WR, we need to get AT LEAST one quality CB out of next year's draft or free agents. AND at least one quality DE. The O might have to get by for a while with what it has.
I actually think the exact opposite. We need that WR so we can put up points. Even with a shut down defense against Pitt last week, we needed those few extra catches. Granted, Desean Jackson and Eddie Royal are the only rookie WR's doing anything, but some talent is available at our draft slot or in free agency, I think we should jump on it. I'm not suggesting that we ignore CB or D-line, but we need to spend the first or second pick on a receiver. We have time to groom youngsters on D, but we need someone to step in and step UP on our offense. |

Wow...there are times when it's truly sad to be a Baltimore fan. And this is one of them. The lack of sympathy displayed by the "fans" on this site is disgusting.
Remember it wasn't some muscle-pull that kept him out last year. It was the life-changing diagnosis of epilepsy. And neck surgery is pretty drastic. But no appreciation from the gallery. No thanks for his service to our team. Y'all are the same ones who made claims that he had AIDS or an STD last year before you knew the truth. Y'all also were the ones saying that he was the weak link on our D during our 13-3 season, yet saw how deplorable we did when he was absent from his post(due to the seizures) the following season. Samari has been a solid CB for the Ravens and has had a rough turn of events in his life. I agree that he's probably done w/ the Ravens, but it pains me to see that my fellow fans show a complete lack of class towards one of our own. Let's see y'all strap on a helmet and some pads and see if you can hold his jock for a couple of snaps, let alone a long respectable career. Let's see how many would risk returning to the field w/ epileptic seizures knowing that one nasty hit could do irreparable damage. There's a time and place when it's appropriate to dog a player. This isn't one of them. |

Put both on ir plz.

Well said...this is a "what have you done for me lately" fan base. And seriously...has anyone ever seen a positive post from FIRE TREMBLY. I know I haven't. Dude is a downer. |
Rolle has been effective at times, but not recently and he has shown flashes of his old self. He deserves better from the fans, true. I think IR would be good for all of us as the injury is serious. Get well Rolle and mak a wise decesion about your future. The Ravens always seem to allow the worst injuries to creep into the teams problems. They need to do better in terms of evaluating the health of the players and pickup players that may stem the tide when a key player gets hurt. Hopefully the Ravens will not put Washington out the isle of no return with a wr that will get the best of him. |

If the pass rush continues and C-Mac or Washington doesn't go down, the secondary should still be strong. This is a loss, though.
