After so many years of the same thing should we be surprised by this...in 3 years when we are changing coaches again and our Super Bowl is in April again we will all at least know we still have our LIONS.....go team.

The Lions are a NFL-worst 21-59 since Millen, a former linebacker and TV analyst, became an NFL executive for the first time in 2001. Nuff said.

Another wasted Draft Pick

Another talented player who may never see his potential

Give the Lions credit though, say what you want about the Team, but this is the first issue like this since 1970

I hope Marinelli gets his fair amount of time to turn this around.

Joey....Wasted pick

CRog....Wasted pick

Boss Bailey...somewhat wasted pick. Great player, but hurt most of the time

Teddy Lehman...See above

The Lions are in a class all by themselves when it comes to the draft. I hope Marinelli and Martz can show Millen how to judge talent, and a players character, things Millen surely doesn't understand.

Good coaches find a way to get talented players to play, whether or not they have issues. Charles Rogers, in the few games he played, showed remarkable talent. Now, he is gone?! They didn't even play him in exhibition games?! AT LEAST PLAY THE GUY AND LETS SEE WHAT HE HAS! Oh no, he didn't practice like we want him to...whatever. Lots of players don't show up at practice and still dominate on gameday. Way to go Lions!

Yeah, the Giants should have gotten rid of L.T. because of his drug problems too. Oh, but that would have meant their super bowl dreams would disappear.

First, and foremost, it all stems from management. Ford should have hired gone the way of the Pinto instead of Millen. Talks a good game as an analyst. However, it doesn't hold true when evaluating talent. The Lion's "suck", will continue to "suck", until Millen is gone. There's a reason Marinelli hasn't been a head coach in the NFL for all these years, narrow-minded, old-school doesn't cut it. The Lion's are perpetual losers until Millen is exiled. Go Tigers!

Now that Bill Ford JR is out as Ford Motor's CEO he can lead the Lion's moving foward, just like his Daddy!

40 more years of Lion tradition of being the biggest joke in professional sports!

Lion's 3-13 and a bonus fo Matt! Willie Clay Ford knows talant!

Let me say this as a fan of all Detroit soprts and at the young age of 55 I have seen my share of sports. Lets go back to the little league, basketball, and football mantality when I played these sports growing up. We played our best and the ones that put effort and heart into the game, not everyone was a shining star, we all gave 100% of what we had. If you wanted to goof off and not give it 100% you eathier sat the bench or were tossed off the team. Thing have chabnged over the years and in my opinion for the worst. For example all kids must play because mommy or daddy paid good money to get the kid on the team and by good or bad he is going to play his fair share, doesen't matter if he puts his or her best efforts and heart into the game, we paid he or she play, end of story. That is what coaches are dealing with now days, some spoiled person that has had it but in his head that if they paid, especially big money I play. Well Charels (Rogers) my man WRONG!! Thank you Detroit Lions for at least leading us into the hard playing teams of old, I am one Detroit fan that appreciates what you are attempting to do, please stay on course.

I"ve been a Lions fan for over 40 years...my wife says "maybe if you would stop rooting for them they might start winning"...she says..."maybe its your fault." Well...I'll never give up on them...but if Millan is there in 2007 why don't the Fords just bring back the Edsile or the Pinto. I'm not sure I can even stand another 5-11 season. This is the time of year I am always positive about the Lions...I not feeling it yet!!! Go Shock!!!...and Tigers!!!

i thought matt milkman was a great judge of talent, everything he has touched from draft picks to his staff to which parking space he wanted has turned to coal, does anybody remember the great barry sanders? did not like the generals way and walked, good staffs are able to mold and motivate individual players, make changes for great players and win....

Notice no other team in the league will touch him...maybe something NFL teams know that the public doesn't??

Millen should have handed in his resignation when he got rid of the second coach under his watch. The Ford family must really love this guy...but why?

Looks like the Lion's could have used a deep threat to win the season opener. NOW you bring a new WR. You could have used Rogers, but like Pres Bush, you won't even admit your mistakes. One touchdown would've won the game against Seattle. Way to go Lion's. You put the cart before the horse AGAIN.

We can see now why the Lions didn't keep Rogers. They don't need a deep threat because they have no intentions of ever throwing deep.

I think the Lions didn't play Rogers in the preseason because they were afraid he'd play good, and there would be pressure to drop the $10Million lawsuit.

Why did no other team pick him up? It has nothing to do with talent, it has to do with the complexity of "read routes" and timing in today's game. He is not going to be able to catch up to anybody's 4th string WR who has been studying hard since June, in order to make the team.

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Pisces

Do not overspend on redecorating. Say as little as possible and concentrate on matters in hand. Someone you care about will be erratic and eager to pick a fight. To move that great idea, you need to talk to the big spenders. Run the idea by them and see if you cannot get a backer and a partner for your concept.
