I totally agree. The Jets just dealt with a one shot wonder with Farve ,who had his own dressing room and you saw how that turned out. Pittsburg dumped him for a reason, the Giants also were victims of his attitude. Why bother. You can say he has potential but you can`t guarantee he will perform.

He's done. Potential is not a word to be used on a football player over 30. That's like saying a 70 year old average Joe has potential. The potential bus has left the stop without this clueless moron. The league will sit him down for at least half the season. Why waste the time and energy on this clown. He has problems being on time. He has problems showing up with teamates during the off season. He has problems shooting himself with illegal guns. He's a cancer, let him spread to another team. If they sign him, I hope they lose every game. I never wear green again.

No question the Jets need wide receiver help. But Buress is not the answer. Not just because of his legal difficulties, but because he is irresponsible and undependable.

Let's say you are the manager of a McDonalds and Buress comes in for a job interview. Would you hire this man to sling burgers at McDonalds, knowing he only shows up to work when he feels like it, is late for everything, and has all sorts of legal trouble? Of course you wouldn't! If you wouldn't hire him for a job at McDonalds, why would any sane person consider giving him a million-dollar, high-level position (starting wide receiver) with the New York Jets?

I don't even need to read the article. The title is enough.

Goodell should do all the teams and the fans a favor and suspend him until the outcome of his trial.

Couldn't have said it any better, Meee.
Plus he's 32 and not getting any younger. Let's move on, he's been given enough chances already.

Favre was a one shot wonder and Buress can be a six shot wonder..
I hope the Jets pull the trigger on this deal !!!

I like Burres because he crushed the 18-1 NE Pats. I hate NE Pats and their fans.
So what if he carried a gun.
A NE girl was shot and killed during the NE Pats Victory parade in Boston.
Now thats a crime.

And the ny Muts gave Kevin Mitchell a chance after he was in several shoot-outs while the member of an LA gang. Mitchell had several bullet wounds from his gun play. The NY MU Ts were good enough to give him a chance!
It's amazing that NY MU Ts fans forget that stuff before the shoot off their pie hole!!!After being released for the last time, Mitchell was arrested in 1999 for assaulting his father during an argument. In the minor leagues as manager of the Sonoma County Crushers in 2000, he was suspended for 9 games after punching the other team's owner in the mouth. Mitchell sustained several unusual injuries during his career as a NY MU T. He once strained a muscle while vomiting. The NY MU TS gave this guy a chance and he didn't use it wisely.
Why do NY MUT S fans open their mouths? Answer: To change feet!!!!
BBBBBBBwwwwaaaaahahahahahaa
Again, MUT S fan. you were defeated by the great "metschoke 00 06 07 08 09" !!!!

The CHicago Bears gave TANK JOHSON another chance after he had Drugs, a gun, and fought the police. He apologized. No need to defend him that he was set-up and unfortunate.
He admitted to it.
