<quoted text>based on what .how can u say ratliff can get the job done.based on one pass he threw in preseason.r jets fans for real.
Did you or anyone think Tom Brady was going to be a great QB?
Yeah right, so great he fell to the sixth round after teams passed him over 198 TIMES!
Listen dou-che bag, not even NFL scouts seem to be able to know for sure who is and isn't going to be great, and since they can't I'm pretty certain that your knowledge in this area amounts to a big fat ZERO!
Np one knew Favre was going to be great coming out of college. He was supposedly so great that Atlanta traded him to Green Bay.
Point is you NEVER know what you have at ANY position until the players play and show their talent on their own.
Your obviously some high school kid who believes everything he hears from Mel Kiper on draft day, lol.
Get a clue kid. The NFL is FULL of players who unknowledgeable people like you thought would never make it.
Wake up and stop watching ESPN for ALL your sports information.
Here's a little more info for you. Your Welcome.
Joe Montana - 82nd pick in the 3rd round. Wow, he was projected to be so good, he was passed over 81 TIMES!
Kurt Warner - undrafted. Yeah this two time league MVP, SB MVP, and three time SB QB, had the guys like you so impressed out of college, that NO ONE drafted him. HMMM!
And these are great players. We're not even talking about the good players who are in the league. History has shown that the QB doesn't need to be great, just good, to win a championship.
Look at Phil Simms, a great QB, no, but good enough to win it all, absolutely.
How about Doug Williams, Mark Rypien, Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, these guys and others like them were not great QB's, but they were good enough to win it all.
On the other hand what about great QB's like Marino, and Tarkenton. They were no doubt two of the best QB's of all time, but do either of them have a ring, NOPE!
See, having a great QB doesn't guarantee sh_i-t. I bet either one of thise guys would trade in their stats for a ring instead.
The TEAM needs to be great, and the QB just needs to be good, consistent, and not make any costly mistakes. That's really all you need your QB to do if he's surrounded by playmakers. Get the ball into their hands and they'll do the rest.
You don't know what Ratliff can do. Just like you didn't know what Brady could do until he did it.
So stop being a moron already.
