Porter may easily play VERY well in a Tuna-style D. This is going to be an interesting summer!
Very True.
Porter has always been in a 3/4 alignment. Its going to be exiting to see what happens.

Im with you guys. last season nobody would give the guy time to adjust, and also forgot he was coming off a pre-season injury. I enjoyed the way he started to come around towards the end of the season. If what you guys say is true about him fitting into a parcells style system, then I think we will see pro-bowl quality play out of him for the next 2-3 seasons. GO PHINS!!!

You seem to be quite the expert on this and other gay people and products. Now you know gay trivia as well?
Hmmmm. That's FABULOUS!!! Bet you have a tight butt also. How would I know? Finfan69 told us. That's where the 69 came from.
<quoted text>
John, we have been filming you. That's right, Finfan 69 and I have been filming you like Bill Belicheat does. John, please let those sheep and dogs be, get a girlfriend instead, it's much healthier. We both have hot girlfriends - try it, you might like it. If not, you can always go back to the sheep.

I could deal with that! Porter is more of a 3-4 OLB.

One of the keys on D though is something that is going to be addressed: who is going to play NT? With Traylor gone, I don't see them moving Holliday to the nose. And is Dorsey NT material? And then who will play ILB behind him? Will Zach be back? Crowder I'm sure will play on the inside, but will Zach be back there with him, and will not having to be the only guy back there add some years to Zach's career?

Oh the fun we're going to have this offseason!

The waiving of quarterback Trent Green, wide receiver Marty Booker and offensive tackle L.J. Shelton this week added $9.9 million in savings to the 2008 salary-cap total, and helped boost the Dolphins' cap number from $29 million to $40 million. "Peter King"

A classic case of addition by subtraction.Replacing the production of Booker (1 touchdown) and Traylor (1 sack) can be accomplished by signing an undrafted rookie or two.Green was great at throwing late over the middle and blocking defensive linemen with his head.Shelton couldn't block a phone call.The others were cannon fodder.GOOD MOVE.Also,I'd like to belatedly award Nick Saban the "Dumbass Draft Pick of the Century" trophy for selecting Jason Allen instead of Antonio Cromartie (led NFL with 10 interceptions plus 2 more in the playoffs and 2 more in the Pro Bowl).
Damn it, the truth hurts. Good Post

Sorry to disappoint you but you and your boyfriend Finfan 69 have been watching a KY smudged up DVD of BrokeBack Dolphin Mountain. You and Finfan 69 couldn't have a hot girlfriend if even if you tossed some old lady into an oven. Get a life and change your views. Here's a hint. Your view of the world does not need to be up Finfan's crack.
<quoted text>
Actually, we did throw some old lady into an oven, but she said she was your wife. She was so ugly I figured it had to be your wife, so we saved her. She told us of your "problem" about how you can't get it up unless you were looking at a Richard Simmons video. We laughed and laughed and then she told us that you haven't been intimate with her in over 20 years. Quite sad. Hope you enjoy those blue boy videos that you watch - I hear "Bone With the Wind" is a classic!!

I guess all that taking it up your butt from Finfan69 has penetrated your brain. First I'm not married, but my girlfriend is a Miami Heat dancer. Second, since I'm 28, I can honestly say that I haven't been intimate with anyone from age 8 until 13, so there goes another theory of yours. Now why don't you go back to where you came from, playing hiding the salami with your "pal" Finfan69. What a jackoff!

Those numbers are of Dec 27 before these cuts were made. I'd love to know how the cap is effected by these moves. Regardless, even before these cuts, Miami was in GREAT shape cap-wise.
I agree. These numbers look like they assume the cap increases to $116M from $109M in the 2007 season. I think Booker & Green were both about $3M

Not Without Controversy: But Huizenga is not without his detractors. A 1994 article in the Miami New Times dug up a pile of dirt (both actual and alleged), including an early assault case in which he had roughed up a sales prospect who refused to do business with him (Huizenga lost the civil suit climbing his way to success at the expense of others; ties with organized crime; physical and emotional abuse of his wife; unfair competition practices; illegal political contributions; and disregard of environmental laws._z_entrepreneurs_z_);

Looks like the spring cleaning has begun. Green and Trailor were obvious. I was a little surprised by Booker. I was surprised by Toledo, too. Everyone seemed to be high on that guy.
Bernard Berrian would be an awesome replacement for Booker. Flozell Adams seems like a lock to here.
Unfortuantely, nothing else matters if they don't address the QB position.
Bernard Berrian is getting old and his production has dropped.

Not surprised by Booker. Huge salary and lots of drops!

With the recent release of Zach Thomas, clearing up about $6M, the Dolphins have now cleared up about $19M this week. Added to their $35.6M they already have, that's close to $55M in cap space to play with hen free agency begins. Free Agency should be more exciting this of season than it's ben in a long time. Of course, the Dolphins need to keep some cap space open to sign the draft picks this summer, particularly if they end up using that #1 pick instead of trading it.

BTW, I'm sad that Zach Thomas is leaving. I wish he could have stayed, but I guess it wasn't in the plan with the new management.

I first heard that $35.5M number about 3 weeks ago, well before these cuts happened. One of these articles said these cuts freed up about $13M MORE.

Daily Horoscope for December 12

Libra

There is a strong accent on communicating with others at the moment and this is another day when you're blessed with the ability to hit it off with everyone you meet. This is just what you need if you see a rather tricky neighbor bearing down on you and you think it would look a bit obvious if you dived into the nearest hedge in order to avoid them. Just smile and all will be well.
