That's what I like about the trio.

They released Zach early so he would have plenty of time to land with a good team. They let this guy go early maybe for the same reason. Once they realize a guy doesn't fit in their plans, he's gone.

Beat the stinking jets!

Thanks O. I always enjoy your articles. It's the only real news I get on the Dolphins from Austin.

That's a surprising cut but for a marginal player. Davis was really only a special teams guy and backup safety. Not a big time player in anyway.

Omar, are we keeping 4 QBs now?

Why do yo keep using "first dibs" did you even go to school? How about a better sentence like.

Because of their 1-15 record, the Dolphins have the first oppourtunity to sign any players waived who have less than four years of experience.

Idiots!!!

Damn, these guys are all business. No wonder why Parcells turns franchises around for a living. Reminds me of another hard nosed coach named Shula.

Omar is one of the best reporters I've ever seen covering the Dolphins in the 35 years I've been reading Dolphin's news. He knows what he's talking about, understands the game and the philosophy of the new regime.
He's on target with dumping davis early so he has a good chance to catch on with another team early, the trifecta having to pay attention to fewer players so the decisions are easier to make.

I hope Parcells and Co. wait until the last cutdown to 53 to get their better players from other teams. Obviously you're gonna get better players that teams hold on to for the last cutdown. So I just hope they wait until after the cutdown to 53 to get their better players for other teams.
Also, I hope they can get good value for John Beck from a team that can develop him. I believe he does have everything it takes to at least be a good backup QB. He just needs good coaches with some patience. I wish Beck the best of luck.

"i rather see the dolphins cut a QB and keep a player just for special teams like keith davis."

They cut the player dude. You'd rather keep a special teams player and non-playmaker at safety over a QB prospect? Why?

Davis has no body of work as a DB. They gave him a chance and once again he's not anything special.

You misspelled opportunity, idiot! Hopefully, the Dolphins will employ the following strategy: since they have "first dibs" on waivers and multiple open roster spots, they should claim all available marketable players and flip them to other teams for draft picks.

To Miami Beach Police: Maybe you should try using the phrase "first dibs" since you can even spell "opportunity". I hope you are not a real cop you bonehead!

Miami Beach Police, you actually have the huevos to ask this man if he ever went to school? Good Lord! In your first sentence, you have what is called a splice. You have two questions in one run on ramble. Also, you failed to put quotations were needed and you do not even know how to use the colon... well maybe your colon you do, hahah..get the picture bonehead?

oh yea.. before you respond bonehead, my mistakes are what you would call "typos" as in typographical errors and are not because I went to the same school as you, if indeed you ever went.

Beck isn't playing a down with Henne on the team. 4 QBs in my opinion is too many. I'd rather have a guy who can make tackles on two plays out of a game than have an extra QB who is never going to see a snap.

You know this means that Hill is gonna move to Strong Safety. The only way Hill gets cut now is if the Phins pick up a safety off waivers.
