Broncos' linebacker Jarvis Moss breaks hand
#1 Aug 8, 2010
Man, what a drag! I feel for the guy because he has gone through a lot of hard times. Every time I think that I'm going to see him go out and prove himself worthy of his first round pick status, something happens to him. I realize that he is in the NFL and it's the top tier in football competition but I just wish that he would get a good chance to shine. Perhaps he was trying too hard as a rookie for Shannahan and company and being somewhat of a "tweener" along with some mental "demons" contributed to his trying too hard and thus making mistakes which was the start of a snowball effect leading to his severely fractured leg and depression/uncertainty about playing pro ball. In my opinion, Jarvis Moss can become a reliable if not a great force on a 3/4 defense. I think that he could thrive in the system with his height and former defensive end pass rush experience, I feel that he also has deceptive speed. I hope that he keeps his head on straight and can overcome his broken hand and the critisism that some people have put on him. Also in my opinion he kind of remindes me of Simon Fletcher who was also a "tweener" and with a little luck, perhaps he too can greatly cause havock on the field. I just want to see him become a force and prove to a lot of doubters that he can become a great player for the Broncos and a reliable backup for Elvis Dumervil.
