I like the improvement in the defensive front 7. Lamar Houston and Matt Shaughnessy each proved that they can get to the QB and that was while the #1s were still in. Trevor Scott will be a force as well from the LB position. Stevie Brown and Jerome Boyd stepped up and made big plays when it mattered most and sealed a victory for us (now I wish I had stayed up for it) and that is something I have never seen Michael Huff or Hiram Eugene do whether it be preseason or regular season, so I want the safeties to be Branch, Mitchell, Boyd and Brown on the final roster.

I'm still not impressed with the OL. Neither QB turned the ball over, so I think we've improved there. Boller's late rally I think will give him the edge for the #3 QB job (possibly move him up to #2).

Houston had two sacks the first half. He should do well for us. It woudl be a shame if Boller jumped ahead of Gradkowski. Grad earned it last season, no way he she be relgated to # 3.

Defense was impressive, should be fun to watch this year. Offense will come around, always takes a bit longer, especially with a new Q.B., and a few key players sitting. If Boller sticks, it will be Frye and not Grads looking for work. D-line in particular will be amongst the best in the league.

Until we can put a competent O Line on the field, even a great QB won't win. And it's already obvious we don't have a great QB. We have a combo of journeymen and camp fodder QB's. There is no way on earth Shanahan would have traded Cambbell to Oakland if he thought it would do them any good. One thing you can always take to the bank in the NFL is Shanahans' absolute hatred for Al Davis.
