The writer below did a good job of getting background
information on this story.
I was surprised to learn that Taylors' father was chief
of police in a neighboring town and that he was still
using a sword to defend his home after a robbery 8 days
prior to this incident.
"In 2005, Taylor was accused of brandishing a gun at
a man during a fight over some all-terrain vehicles
that had allegedly been stolen."
(He uses a gun to defend his car but a sword to defend
his home ?)
It amazes me that pro sports teams sign these players
to huge contracts and they go out and spend a fortune
on jewelry and apparently nothing on a security system.
If I was a team owner I would insist on high draft picks
having a very sophisticated home security system and
work out some sort of business alliance with a local
security company to facilitate that.
The Redskins are on the hook for a ton of money they
owe this guy, and that would have bought a lot of
security. Vinny Cerrato is probably going to lose
his job over this.
It also amuses me when these fools bring cameras in
for shows like "Cribs" to brag about all their possessions
but they never mention anything about a security system.
A lot of these rap stars are former convicts and
they should understand how the criminal mind works.
How smart do you have to be, to realize you are setting
yourself up to be a target ?
