uconn's lack of talent at wide out and in the skilled speed position is obvious= their fullback did a great job, and the qb would have been ok if they made a couple of easy catches for him

once again i agree half the coaching staff should gp tp florida, half to texas, including edsall and stay there period.

the offensive game plan was awdul=brown is going to get discouraged, he worked hard, gets results and these stiffs don't get him the ball

edsall needs to go home to orangeland

UConn is a good football team.
They can win on any given day.
Yesterday was just not thier day.
Go Huskies! Win out and go to a good bowl game.

they quit on defense when they fell behind or maybe when their two-way star went down. either way, they quit on defense. end of story.

They quit on defense? Did you watch the same game I did? How much can you ask of a Defense when their Offense is giving them 50 seconds tor est between sets of downs? Or when their awful QB throws an INT and lets WVU get the ball at the opponents 30. Sorry but I tip my hat to the D for stopping WVU the best they could. Just like against Cincy last week, the Defense kept UConn in this game. The difference was, the offense was worse this game than against Cincy (Is that possible??)

Time for coach to depart. 10 years, .500 ball....see ya. C'mon coach, say goodbye. I'm certainly not saying this is all your fault. But....it's time to go. 10 years is a long tine for 1 bowl game. We have the stadium, we have the practice center, we have the $$$$$, now we need the coach. He hates the media, the media hates him. The yelling at the officials and covering for your players has gone on long enough. Be the big man you say your are and go somewhere else.

I agree with your post. The obvious strength of this team is the defense;especially when they are starting a 3rd string QB and freshman wide receivers. This team wins when the defense plays well and the offense "manages" their portion of the game. "manages" = no turnovers to create short fields and put the defense on the field under duress again and again.

You could clearly see the difference between the talent level of the two teams. Recruiting is the key. They need to get much better players to be able to compete. Dropping wide open passes is inexcusable and costly. The loss of Lorenzen is now coming home to roost.

If DJ was still quarterback, we would be having a more successful season with his experience and leadership.
